Novitec has set its sights on the Maserati Levante for its latest tuning package, which introduces plenty of aesthetic and performance components to the premium SUV. The former is as you’d expect from the well-known German tuner, with the aim of making the Levante as visually dramatic as possible.
This includes a widebody kit with sizeable fenders that increases the width by 100 mm at the front and 120 mm at the rear. The extra space also means large 22-inch wheels can be fitted, shod with 295/30 front and 335/25 rear tyres.
Elsewhere, there’s a large piece of carbon-fibre trim on the bonnet, a lip spoiler on the front bumper and a new rear diffuser. For a better stance, the Levante’s air suspension has been fiddled with to trim 25 mm off the ride height.
On the performance front, Novitec can also upgrade both the petrol and diesel versions of the 3.0 litre turbocharged V6 engines available for the Levante. For the oil burning option, the output is boosted to 318 hp and 680 Nm, which is 43 hp and 80 Nm more than standard.
Meanwhile, the petrol mill with the power bump now produces 487 hp and 660 Nm, a 57 hp and 80 Nm hike from the Levante in S guise. Novitec says the improvements help the diesel Levante to complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.2 seconds (from 6.9 seconds), while the petrol does the same in 4.8 seconds (from 5.2 seconds).
