BMW Group Malaysia has officially launched the new Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline programme, which provides peace of mind ownership 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad customers.
The program offers lifetime phone assistance and organisational support, as well as comprehensive mobility services at no extra cost to customers in the event of an emergency, immobilisation or breakdown. Customers will only need to make a single call (1800-88-8808) for qualified specialists to assist them.
Effective July 1, 2017, all new BMW and MINI owners with vehicles registered from January 1, 2017 will receive the Roadside Assistance (RSA) coverage programme for five years at no cost.
This is an improvement over its previous coverage programme that was valid for just two years. Meanwhile, BMW Motorrad customers will receive coverage for two years.
Furthermore, vehicles registered between July 1, 2015 and December 31, 2016, the existing RSA will remain valid for 24 months from the date of the vehicle’s first registration.
Customers under the coverage programme will have access to service such as lifetime phone assistance and an accident hotline. For the latter, the BMW RSA team will contact emergency services in the event of an accident, as well as notifying a dealership and arranging for towing services if needed (including repatriation of distances more than 200 km).
Additionally, replacement vehicles can be prepared for the entire duration of the service or repair, and in cases where breakdowns occur 200 km or more away from a customer’s residence, BMW RSA can arrange for overnight accommodation if required.
“In ensuring a perfect ownership experience of a vehicle from the BMW Group, we’ve always been dedicated to provide our customers not only the most enjoyable and rewarding ownership experience possible,” said Han Sang Yun, managing director and CEO of BMW Group Malaysia.
“Now, we’re extending this peace-of-mind ownership experience further to include outstanding protection and aftercare for BMW, MINI and BMW Motorcycles anytime and anywhere for our customers need. The new Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline programme will enable us to be the first premium automaker in the region to offer a complete offering over a longer period,” he added.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Clever to talk big like Volkswagen Malaysia. But when accident happens and customer asks for replacement car, they say no availability or all out already.
Easy to talk big when launch a product but whether it is maintained different story. VW customers always are given the SAME answer….no replacement vehicle available. All out”
BMW will be the same.
BMW is Sime Darby. Jangan persoal..
1st five years, BMWs rarely breakdown.
It feels as if some people from Volvo join BMW.
Last time, Volvo had great after-sales 5+5+5 years warranty + free service parts & labour + on-call service.
Now it’s BMW that offers 5+5+5. Meanwhile Volvo only 5+5, no more free service. Still not bad, but I wish they could reinstate back 5+5+5.
Volvo still long way to go on par as beemer.
u better hope u never have to calll this number
What happens if replacement car oso breaksdown too?
like kawin, you get 4
