Audi will be present at this year’s SEMA Show, and the German marque has brought along several exhibits, which include the Clubsport Turbo Concept and a TT RS with Audi Sport Performance Parts.
If the former sounds familiar, is it basically the same car that premiered at the 2015 Wörthersee Tour. The key specs are all the same as before – a 2.5 litre TFSI with an electric turbocharger, 600 hp, 0-100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and 310 km/h top speed.
The car continues to wear thoroughly revised bodywork, which not only provides a wider stance, but also has aerodynamic purpose. Highlights include a manually adjustable rear wing made from carbon-fibre reinforced polymer, and a 14-cm gain in width compared to a normal TT.
Unlike what was shown in 2015, the concept that is being put on display at SEMA is wearing livery inspired by a legendary Audi race car – the Audi 90 IMSA GTO from the late 1980s.
Also on show is a range of Audi Sport Performance Parts that are fitted on a TT RS, which offer enhancements in four areas – suspension, exhaust system, exterior and interior. Examples of the available items include two-way adjustable suspension, lightweight 20-inch wheels and an Audi Sport Performance titanium exhaust system, created in cooperation with Akrapovic.
