Hyundai will introduce seven more CUVs by 2020

The Hyundai Kona celebrated its global premiere in mid-2017, but it is just one of several models that the Korean carmaker, specifically its American division, has in its rollout plan. Hyundai Motor America has announced its commitment to debut eight (seven if you discount the Kona) new or re-engineered crossover utility vehicles (CUVs) in the United States by the year 2020.

According to an official release, the future line-up will encompass models from the A-segment (entry level) size class all the way up to the eight-passenger midsize class. These vehicles will feature the company’s latest powertrains, be it petrol, diesel, hydrogen fuel cell or battery electric.

“Very soon we are going to have the most diverse CUV powertrain lineup in the industry. These vehicles will show the engineering prowess of the more than 13,000 engineers Hyundai Motor Company has working on current and future models every single day. Our customers are going to have a lot of great CUV choices in our dealerships,” said Mike O’Brien, vice president of product, corporate and digital planning, at Hyundai Motor America.

“The Kona is only the beginning of our product revolution for Hyundai. These vehicles are aimed squarely at the sales leaders in each segment and will emphasize Hyundai’s continued focus on sustainability and efficiency without compromising performance,” added O’Brien. The introduction of the new models will be spread across major auto shows, including those in Detroit, New York and Los Angeles.

With fuel prices on the rise, it makes common sense to buy an EV/Hydrogen powered vehicles. To Malaysian Govt, when will our P1 & P2 coming out with an Affordable EV’s ??!

Coming out with EEV certified vehicles are plain BS. We do not want to pay for high fuel price anymore/in the long run. What happen to all the R & D $$$ paid to make EV ??!

But Perodua is an association of manufacturers or suppliers with the purpose of maintaining prices at a high level and restricting competition cause Perodua doesnt allow other brands like Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Honda, Toyota, Nissan to be at the top, only Perodua is only wanted itself to be at the top which is very selfish, highly offensive, snobbish, awful and disrespectful to other car brands. Lastly don’t buy Perodua and also hopefully Perodua sales will keep on dropping
