Honda Malaysia (HMSB) has announced the opening of a new Honda 3S centre in Sabah – strategically located in Keningau, which is located halfway between Tenom and Tambunan, the new facility will serve the brand’s increasing customer base in the area.
Operated by Vermillion Autohaus, the 3S centre, located at ¼ Miles, Jalan Keningau-Tenom, Kampung Pampang, 89008 Keningau, is the brand’s fifth such facility in Sabah. Establised with an investment of RM2.5 million, the centre has a built-up area of 5,000 sq ft and a staff strength of 19.
It’s equipped with four service bays (two fast service, one general repair and one tyre service) that can accommodate up to 30 cars per day. Other facilities include a comfortable customer lounge with free wi-fi, a cafe counter with a variety of free flow snacks and drinks, a surau as well as a kids’ corner.
The company says that the opening of the Vermillion Autohaus Honda 3S centre is timely to support the growing number of Honda vehicles in East Malaysia – HMSB said that East Malaysia contributed more than 6,000 units to the 87,800 units it shifted from January to October this year, with Sabah racking up a 55% increase in sales over that same period last year.
The region has also observed a 15% growth in service intake – 53,800 units were serviced in East Malaysia in the January to October period, compared to the 46,800 units serviced during the first 10 months of 2016.
