GST zero-rated: Infiniti prices now up to RM21.9k lower

Infiniti Malaysia has announced new prices for its Infiniti models in line with the six percent goods and services tax (GST) becoming zero-rated as of tomorrow, June 1.

The new prices for the three model, four variant local line-up will remain in effect until the return of the sales and services tax (SST), which will be set at its previous rate of 10%. Yesterday, it was announced that SST will be reintroduced on September 1.

Without GST, prices of the Infiniti range now starts at RM226,267 for the Q50 GT, a reduction of RM13,530 from the previous price. The Q50 GT Technology variant, meanwhile, is now RM15,570 cheaper at RM260,229.

As for the Q60, its price has been reduced by RM17,438 as a result of the removal of GST, and the coupe now goes for RM291,361. Finally, the QX70 GT now costs RM21,899 less, priced at RM368,100. All listed prices are on-the-road without insurance.

    That’s good news. However, if you walk into the Infinity showroom anytime, the sales guy can easily give you a RM40-50k discount.
    Not bad, considering you get a Mercedes-Benz engine and transmission.

      On top of the 40 to 50k discount. Top up another 21k discount total 71k discount. Bringing the car to rm 170k per unit. Why not?

      My family owns a 2014 Q50, the 3.7 litre V6 engine is beast! Very powerful and reliable. It sucks that the monster 3.0 litre V6 is not offered in Malaysia, but the 2.0 is decent enough. The Q60 is such a stunning car, and Infiniti overall is an underrated brand.

      might as well just buy a c200 for the same price. or spend 10% more to get a c350e.

    After the 40k-50k discount…it’s all crap down hill…sales after service sucks big time…not worth the money spent…(Car is very good tough…)….
