Lexus LC Yellow Edition unveiled for European market

Lexus LC Yellow Edition unveiled for European market

Yellow is the colour of summer, so it’s rather appropriate that Lexus has introduced a Yellow Edition for the LC coupe in Europe. The stunning luxury two-door is draped in Flare Yellow that’s already on the standard colour palette, but adds a few other touches in the lemony hue.

These are all found on the inside, where you get a black cabin and white semi-aniline leather seats accented with retina-searing yellow Alcantara inserts on the doors. You’ll also receive yellow contrast stitching on the seats, dashboard, steering wheel and centre console arm rest, plus the “Yellow Edition” script emblazoned on the carbon fibre scuff plates.

A number of the regular LC’s optional extras are ticked on the Yellow Edition, including a head-up display, Alcantara headlining and 10-way power-adjustable front seats. The car comes exclusively in the Sport+ trim level, which throws in 21-inch forged alloy wheels, a carbon fibre roof, Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS) with four-wheel steering, a Torsen limited-slip differential and the Lexus Dynamic Handling system.

Otherwise, it’s as per the standard LC, which means you’ll get the gorgeous swoopy design and a choice of two engines. There’s the LC 500 with a 5.0 litre naturally-aspirated V8 making 471 hp and 540 Nm of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, as well as the LC 500h hybrid that pairs a 299 PS/356 Nm 3.5 litre V6 with a 180 PS/300 Nm electric motor for a total system output of 354 hp, along with a four-speed automatic that simulates the feel of a 10-speeder.

The Lexus LC 500 is on sale in Malaysia, priced at RM887,434 on-the-road without insurance. You can get the yellow paint here too (called Naples Yellow instead), but without the interior accents.
