Infiniti teases electric crossover concept, Detroit debut

The world’s major carmakers are gearing up for the first big motor show of the new year in Detroit, with Infiniti announcing that it will debut a preview concept of its first electric crossover at the event. The new offering is part of the Japanese premium brand’s plan to electrify its entire lineup from 2021.

From the looks of the shadowy teaser, the EV will take the form of an coupé-cum-SUV that’s all the rage these days, with a low roofline and wraparound windscreen design atop a muscular body. The front fascia features slim headlights and an illuminated outline of the company’s signature trapezoidal grille, along with the Infiniti badge and script also lit up.

Meanwhile, the usual door mirrors appear to have been replaced by cameras, a concept car cue that we’re seeing in more and more production vehicles. Infiniti says that the crossover is infused with Japanese DNA and borrows cues from both last year’s Q Inspiration concept and the Prototype 10 shown at Pebble Beach, providing the clearest look yet at the company’s electrified future.

It also claims its future EVs will have new exterior proportions and a spacious lounge-like interiors, thanks to new electrified platforms.

Every car manufacturer is moving towards EV. Infact by 2035, whole of Europe will be fully EV and no more petrol cars. Not long more. Only 17 years more.

But in Malaysia, Proton still tidur. No clue about EV. They don’t even have 10 year old Hybrid technology.

    Tidurzzzzzzzzzzz

Then when nobody buys their outdated cars, they say Malaysians are not patriotic

Only an idiot can relate a story about Infinity with P1.
Why are you so interested in seeing P1 go belly up and the staff jobless? Do you find pleasure seeing others suffer?
