BMW 330e, X5 xDrive40e M Performance Edition launched in M’sia – same price as M Sport, 300 units

BMW Malaysia has introduced two limited edition models, the BMW 330e M Performance Edition and X5 xDrive40e M Performance Edition. Both models are limited to 300 units each, featuring genuine BMW M Performance Accessories. No mechanical or performance upgrades have been made, though.

Now, the 330e M Performance Edition comes with M Performance side skirts, side sill foils, gloss black front grille and carbon side mirror caps. There’s also a matte black front lip, rear spoiler and rear diffuser, which comes on top of the dark-tinted tail lights. Inside, the PHEV sedan gets stainless steel pedals and footrest.

For colours, the BMW 330e M Performance Edition can be had in Sunset Orange, Black Sapphire, Estoril Blue or Alpine White. The interior, however, only comes with Black Dakota Leather.

Next, the X5 xDrive40e M Performance Edition gets a similar exterior treatment, except the X5 gets a carbon front lip and rear diffuser. Like the 330e M Performance Edition, it also gets stainless steel foot pedals. The SAV comes in three colours – Carbon Black, Mineral White and Space Grey. All exterior colour offerings are paired with Black Dakota Leather, whereas Carbon Black offers an additional option of Terra Dakota Leather.

Price-wise, both cars are priced identically as its M Sport sibling – the 330e M Performance Edition is priced at RM258,800, and the X5 xDrive40e M Performance Edition costs RM390,800. Both prices are on-the-road before insurance, and each purchase comes with BMW five-year unlimited mileage warranty with free scheduled service programme, BMW 24-month tyre warranty, BMW Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline, BMW White Card and BMW Service Online.

    Clearing old stock?
All these M performance stuff got nothing to do with actual performance? Why not add in M performance suspension and brakes?

The last hurrah as usual. They did this for the E90 too when the F30 is about to launch. Now comes the G20.
