VIDEO: Mitsubishi 4Sure Thrill event – experiencing dirt drifting with Dakar Rally champ in the new Triton!

If you have no plans for the weekend, here’s a good one to look forward to. You’d want to drop by the Setia City Convention Centre to catch the Mitsubishi 4Sure Thrill event, featuring the legendary, two-time Dakar Rally champion Hiroshi Masuoka, as well as girl drifter Leona Chin.

What do they have in common? Well, they love drifting, and just for one weekend only, you get to experience what it’s like being in the passenger seat of a drifting pick-up truck. That’s right, Masuoka-san and Leona Chin will go sideways on a specially-designed off-road track, just to make you end your week on a high (just look at Hafriz’s gleeful reactions in the video!). What’s more, the first 100 joy riders will be given free Starbucks coffee at the end of the drive.

Besides that, visitors can also test drive the new Triton and experience its off-road capabilities, aided by the Super Select 4WD II system and off-road mode, as well as hill descent control.

Interested? The Mitsubishi 4Sure Thrill event takes place this weekend at the Setia City Convention Centre outdoor car park from March 9-10, 2019, from 10 am to 8 pm. There will be various forms of entertainment for the family, such as 4Sure Thrill photo and video contest, as well as a lucky draw session with prizes worth up to RM5,000 to be won. See you guys there!

    • Since when did Mitsubishi produce a model called ‘Outback’? You forgot the Japs only gave Proton old Lancers and engines while laughing to the bank? Oh yeah, just like what your Perodua and Toyota still doing in 2019.

  • Unlike UMW Toyota Malaysia, Mitsubishi let people drive on the track! So Toyota you can keep your “for safety reasons” shove up ur arse!!! This is what people want, to really experience what the car can do. Not just sit next to driver doing nothing while listening to the driver talk BS!!!

Ajai. Can you please stop discriminate to Toyota. You are not here in paultan.org website for just bashing to Toyota. Look at what UMW Toyota Malaysia is doing, at least UMW Toyota are improving as compare to the previous years in which UMW Toyota Malaysia is giving advanced safety features, more features, more equipments for most Toyota Models to the consumers.

MMC really push its product to the limit. Especially 4×4 pick-up. Actually its holds the best power at this moment (Japan pick-up only). 2.8 Revo equal to MIVEC 2.4 power. This is outstanding. But I really hope MMC could bring its Pajero Sports coz all SUV (diesel) will be dead. The main reason is due to its 8 speed Gbox (fuel economy and low RPM to avoid engine noise during cruising) and uses electronic handbrake which is very up-to-date tech.

    • In most comparos done by auto journalists, especially the Aussies, the Pajero Sport beat the Fortuner.

Yes it’s awesome and I want too but Malaysia taxes are fault not Mitsubishi

I’m used triton model 2007 until now. I have done almost 600,000km. So far i have never experienced engine or gearbox breakdown accept tyre punctured few time and once for fan belting broken. I never do the engine overhaul or gearbox overhaul. Also never experienced an engine overheated.
I’m expecting the engine n gearbox to be lasting until 1milion km.
