Petronas AutoExpert vehicle servicing makes global debut in Malaysia, 100 outlets worldwide within 5 years

Petronas Lubricants today launched the first Petronas AutoExpert service centre in Malaysia. The outlet in the country is operated by Autohaus KL in Shah Alam, Selangor, and is the first in a future chain of service centres that Petronas aims to grow not just locally, but globally.

The company has set its sights on expansion across 30 countries in the next five years, and is targeting the introduction of 100 outlets across the globe, in markets such as China, India as well as countries in Latin America and Europe.

The Autohaus KL outlet will operate seven days a week from 9 am to 6.30 pm, except on public holidays. It’s staffed by 12 personnel and features 14 vehicle work bays, and has the capacity to service up to 40 vehicles daily. In the case of Autohaus KL, customers at this Shah Alam location stand to enjoy a free vehicle collection and delivery service if they’re located within five km of the facility.

According to Petronas, the 12,000 sq ft facility was developed with an investment of RM1.5 million. The AutoExpert facility provides most mechanical services including diagnostics, wheel alignment and balancing, except body and paint services. Facilities for customers waiting on-site include a lounge with complimentary snacks and beverages as well as free WiFi connectivity.

“The Petronas AutoExpert service centre allows customer to enjoy Petronas’ technical expertise under one roof at their convenience. We are geared to move like never before by offering value-added services that are usually only associated with under-warranty care, for all passenger car types worldwide,” said Petronas VP of marketing for downstream business, Datuk Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed Tahir.

  • Expanding from O&G to car servicing… Good move… What we need is more quality workshop with qualified technicians to cater the huge number of cars which no longer required sending their cars to authorize workshop… There are lots of road worthy old cars that deserve quality servicing…

    • No worries about that issue when the ministry decides to implement scrapping policy on old cars.

      • They wont implement this, trust me…this is malaysia where car prices are sky rocket…
Go to kampung area and see how many cars that are more than 10 years… If Government do this, they will upset all the Kampung residence and you know what will happen in the next election..
