During the launch of the Subaru XV GT Edition, TC Subaru also announced that it will begin order taking for the all-new, fifth-generation Forester towards the end of May. The SUV will be introduced in Malaysia later in July this year, with all cars being assembled at the Tan Chong Subaru Automotive (Thailand) Limited, or TCSAT, plant.
As such, the new Forester will be a fully-imported (CBU) model instead of being locally-assembled (CKD) in Malaysia, as was the case with the fourth-generation model. For now, no official pricing has been revealed, but TC Subaru is giving interested customers an incentive for making their bookings early.
The first 50 customers in Malaysia to place a booking for the Forester will be given an all-expense paid trip to Bangkok in December, where they will be taken on a tour of the TCSAT plant to witness first hand how a Subaru is assembled.
The latest iteration of the Forester rides on the Subaru Global Platform (SGP), which is also used for the Impreza and XV. For the Taiwanese market, the Forester comes with a FB20 2.0 litre direct-injected four-cylinder boxer engine (156 PS and 196 Nm), which is paired with a Lineartronic CVT and Symmertical All-Wheel Drive system.

Expect Japanese and Korean cars to be more expensive due to the increased quality. You wan cheap, buy the Proton X70 or Perodua Aruz. You wan top brands like Subaru or Hyundai, expect to pay a premium.

Price form 140K-170K,2.0 engine with direct injection and eye sign function,but it’s too much if compare with current model pricing, seems after new government car price will definitely rising up,good luck.just buy cheapest car to drive due to bad economy the rest of money can stay at bank or doing other investment.
