If you want to spruce up your Volvo XC60, there are a range of optional accessories available for the SUV model being offered by Volvo Cars Malaysia. Here’s one such example of a kitted up XC60, which we recently sighted at Sisma Auto’s Volvo dealership located in Bukit Bintang.

Based on the T8 Inscription Plus variant, the list of accessories on this car includes an Exterior Styling package that costs RM6,999. This consists of colour matched front and rear skid plates, along with two twin tailpipes.

Also optioned are 22-inch 10-open spoke black diamond cut alloy wheels (with 265/35 tyres), which are significantly larger than the standard 19-inch ten-spoke two-tone rims (with 235/55 tyres). There’s also an alternative five-double spoke matte black diamond cut design in the same size, as well as a smaller 20-inch five-double spoke tech black diamond cut set. In terms of pricing, the 22-inch wheels, which include flared arches, retail at RM26,888, while the 20-inch set is RM18,188.

This XC60’s load compartment also features a stainless steel, illuminated inlay priced at RM2,217, which lights up when the tailgate is open for less than 20 minutes, making it easier to load cargo in dark environments. While not specified on this car, the illuminated scuff plate can be complemented with a brushed stainless steel bumper cover for an additional RM673.

Other available exterior accessories for the XC60 include a load carrier for RM1,499 and an aluminium bicycle holder for RM999. For the interior, there’s a child booster seat for the rear outer seats priced at RM731, a pocketed kick guard to protect the back of the front seat (RM282), plastic floor mats (RM619) and waterproof textile mats (RM706).

Meanwhile, the boot can be outfitted with a plastic load liner (RM1,419) for carrying dirty or wet items, a high-friction plastic mat (RM869) to prevent items from sliding around or a reversible/folding loop mat (RM1,330) with fabric on one side and plastic on the other.

You can even order key fobs finished in leather, with Blond and Charcoal colours priced at RM620, while White is RM1,128. If you prefer wood as a material, Dark Flame Birch and Linear Walnut are your available options, each retailing at RM1,128.

Should you need to hand over your car to someone temporarily, but want to limit certain functions of your Volvo to help ensure the vehicle is being operated safely, there’s the Red Key that lets you set the maximum speed, speed warning, audio volume and adaptive cruise control settings.

Most Malaysian would say “Ooh, how nice Volvo to give aircond blower at the pillars. So elegant”. Some reviewer would say “This is the correct position for aircond blower”. Most people do not realize that Volvo Malaysia took out one more aircond blower under the driver’s centre arm rest. If there, it has a digital screen, similar to what we get in XC90. Don’t think Volvo Malaysia doesnt cut cost for our beloved country. I dont mind if they took out heater, heater seats, but an AC blower, ppphhhtttt!

And Bobby Ang praised Volvo for the arm rest AC blower with the best blowing direction (not towards your junks) in XC90 but never comment on the absence in this XC60. The XC40 rear AC blower (not at the pillars) blows at your junks but ‘shhhh’ dont point out the imperfectness of Volvo in the XC40.
