Audi readies next Audi TT

Audi’s next TT sports car will be longer, wider and will have larger interior space. The car is currently undergoing testing and target launch will be spring next year.

Roadster and coupe versions will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in march 2006. The turbo TT will now feature the 2 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine from the Volkswagen Golf GTI instead of the previous 1.8 turbo. The V6 TT will use the same 3.2 liter V6 but it will have DSG pedal shift transmission on top-line models.

Ugly. They ruined what should’ve been a beautiful car. The original was so sublime and subtle. Every line an angle (minus the spoiler) in the right place. The interior was a righteous place to be in. Hopefully they don’t screw that up either.

Well..the trend is now on “macho” cars. Look at the Merc SLK or new MX5, more grown up, more macho. Even the Alfa 159’s lines have been tighten up (based on the 156).

I kinda like to think of cars as women, so hopefully somebody out there remembers that cars need to be proportianate. Ying and Yang.

I still prefer the Old TT. Size and shape just fit!
