LM Star Autoworld will be manufacturing a Chinese brand called Dadi here in Malaysia. There will be three models distributed here in Malaysia. Two SUVs which are the Dadi Shuttle and Dadi Tourer, and a pick-up truck called the Dadi Trekker.

The Citroen C4 replaces the Xsara in the French automaker’s car lineup. The car comes in 3-door and 5-door hatch versions. The shape kind of reminds me of the Honda CR-X.

The car is available with a few engine choices - 90bhp 1.4, a 110bhp 1.6, a 138bhp 2.0 and a 180bhp tuned-up 2.0 model for the sports coupe VTS version. There is also a Sensodrive semi-auto sequential shift option.

When Proton announced that it made a pre-tax loss of RM4.3 million for for Q1 2005, it explained that it was due to a higher allowance for doubtful debts and higher component costs.

Higher component costs have been attiributed to the rising steel prices. But what about the higher allowance for doubtful debts? What doubtful debts are these? Aren’t car purchases financed upfront by the banks through hire-purchase schemes?

Honda has put a new K20 series engine in the new 2006 Civic Si. The new K20 series is called K20Z3 and has a number of improvements over the previous K20Z1 found in the 2006 Acura RSX Type S. The engine now features a bigger balancer shaft to smoothen out the revs and get rid of any vibrations. It also has a drive-by-wire throttle and electric power steering.
