Jeremy Clarkson puts the Lotus Exige in a head-on handling bout against an Apache helicopter gunship. Trust Top Gear to always come up with outrageous but entertaining ways to test his sports cars. Jeremy Clarkson drives the Lotus Exige around the track, and the challenge is to out-maneuveur the Apache gunship which will try to get a radar lock on the car to fire it’s missiles.

i have this episode… quite hilarious especially the ending part where the apache fired a shot at the car.. which looked so fake….
anyway, in the same episode… there was a MPV race…estima,serena,espace and many more battled it out in an oval circuit…

Somewhere a frustrated James Bond film writer crumples up the sheet of paper with his idea on it, and begins searching for another one now that his has been publicly displayed by Top Gear…
Too bad the Exige is saddled with the Toyota engine. Good for reliability, but not so good for speed. Everything else says “race car” on this vehicle, so why does it have a cam setup that’s best suited for fuel economy? “The Kick” should come onboard much earlier than the last 2000 RPMS. A real performance engine setup would transform this car into a beast.
