Volkswagen in talks with Cycle and Carriage Bintang

Volskwagen AG is in talks with Cycle and Carriage Bintang Bhd for a dealership agreement. Cycle and Carriage Bintang currently distributes Mazda, Peugeot and Mercedes Benz marques in Malaysia.

Well, looks like there we have it. Cycle and Carriage for the distributorship and AutoStadt Asia as the sole importer. Not sure about Quasar Carriage. Anyone want a Volkswagen Golf TDI?

no matter what, as long as a VW is sold as a VW in malaysia, it will still cost more than RM100,000 and more.

It makes lots of sense for VW to choose a dealer with its high taste as well. Any CKD units on the way?

Check out the latest Autocar Asean. They have an interview with the VW Malaysia chief. From what he says, we may see a Polo priced under RM100k here. I have a feeling VWGM may bring in the Polo 5 door hatchback 1.4 TDI. As a reference, the Skoda Fabia 1.4 sells here for RM85k. The VW Polo 1.4TDI in the UK sells for almost the same as the Fabia 1.6 and coupled with the fact that import duties for diesel cars are less, there is a high chance you’ll get a VW TDI for less than RM100k.

    Wahlaueh…

All… still remember….’Diesel sold out’… Suddenly, if this happens again, u will cry together with your 100k diesel car with no fuel to run… How good if they bring in more GOLF GTI… what a charming car.

But still VW brand will still some distance for my reach if bring in CBU.
