Toyota to produce the Toyota Endo?

endofrontback.jpg

Toyota’s 2005 concept model, the Toyota Endo, might find it’s way into the production lines as a city car competitor to the Smart fortwo, which unlike the fortwo features four seats, making it alot more feasible for purchase. AutoExpress reports that disguised versions of the car has already been spotted being tested in Japan.

Looks very cute! I wonder if the rear occupants will be cramped inside. The rear passenger space is too small for adults to fit it.

With the abundance of Kei cars in Japan, whether something like this would make sense would be odd.

The Smart was designed as a city car for two people. Huge front legroom and doesn’t pretend that it can fit 2 micro seats on the back.

Toyota missing the point building another small car with 4 seats, with the rear seat barely usable. I would rather have a 2 seater with a big boot and provisions to mount a child seat at the back preferably with assemetrical doors.

Very cute car, but I think it’s more a 2+2 seater rather than 4; very pretentious of Toyota to call it a 4 seater IMHO.
