BMW Malaysia adds 4 new models to it’s line-up this year, the BMW 325i Sports Sedan variant, the BMW 323i Coupe, the amazing BMW 335i Coupe, as well as the BMW Z4 M Coupe. All of the new cars are fully imported except for the BMW 325i Sports Sedan which recently began CKD production.
The locally assembled BMW 325i comes with a Sports package, which includes an M Aerodynamics kit, 18″ Star Spoke M Light Alloy Wheels with runflat tyres, M Sports Suspension as well as an M Leather Steering Wheel. Also first in it’s class is a navigation system – yes, the 325i Sports comes with sat nav in the form of I-Drive.
Making it’s debut in the local market is the new E92 3 Coupe in 323i and wickedly fast 335i form. Some say the 335i outperforms the E46 BMW M3 in certain areas, as the car features BMW’s new twin turbocharged inline-6 engine which has virtually no turbo lag at all. The new member of the Malaysian M family is the BMW Z4 M Coupe, featuring a tweaked 3.2 inline-6 from the E46 BMW M3 with a 6-speed manual.
The 4 new models will are now available in all BMW authorised dealership showrooms, and the following are the prices:

Wow, the Z4 costs 570k, can go for a second hand entry level Ferrari with that price.
Car is small, pricing is high, may be have to sell blood in order to get one.
The Z4 M is so not worth it for Rm 570K. For that kind of money, I would rather purchase a reconditioned M3 for Rm 360,000 and save the excess change for fuel, road tax,modifications and maintenance considering the Z4 M uses the same S54 3.2 litre Inline 6 engine.
Plus, the M3 comes with choice of either F1 style paddle shifts or the trusty old 6 stick manual transmission.
Sorry for the double post but wanted to add to the fact that in addition to the excess RM200K spare change saved buying the reconditioned M3, the M3 seats 4 people in total instead of only two in the Z4 M Coupe.
good news for me then, oficially launched the E90 325i sports means the E46 325i sports will be cheaper, but it is very very very hard to get the lime yellow original std color, got one in AMPANG but M3 cant afford 380k. there is one 325i sports edition E46 very nice cond but color blue.
anybody have tried the navigator systems..in msia?

The 325 looks wicked man, expecially in black. It should be a hot selling model and just wait for the price to drop in another 4/5 years' time.
No Z4 3.0 coupe? Suppose to be more all rounder than Z4 M coupe. Just check the 99th issue of Evo, "eCoTY".

Although my examples are used car, but with the realibitity, performance, legend, and even better than brand new E90, it's worth to buy. You can get nice design, great technology, great names and the most important is, you make the wise choice.

Whoaa… who would believe a used Audi is better than a spanking new Beemer (other than the price)? Moreover, its a used one & front wheel driven. Just wait for another 5 years, and the price of BMW 325i Sports will plummet half to RM 153,400. In 2012, I bet that it will still look good on the road.
I'd rather get a 350z and upgrade kau kau than getting M Z4.

I was refering the the coupe. The one with the hard roof. In any case, i have never seen one on the road so it's probably too expensive.

Back to the topic, compare a new car with used car is meaningless, one is apple and the other one is orange.
Never thought I'd say this about a car for sale in Malaysia, but the 325i Sport actually looks decent value for Malaysia.
Let me justify what I have said there. Have a look at the spec sheet Paul has posted and take a look at how many of the options are ticked.
Now go to BMW UK website and build the 325i Sport to that spec, remember to add on the servicing package that BMW Malaysia include as standard and you end up with a GBP37,835 motor car.
Thats Rm257k give or take a few Rm
So Rm306k with all taxes paid here doesn't look quite so bad after all!

second hands sports cars are good value for money….provided they havent been driven hard. people rich enough to buy sportscars are also rich enough to maintain it and also know when to get rid of it.
and most of the time its usually after an expensive repair or an accident.
a medium type accident is enough to ruin a sportscar.
its a gamble….unless u have one of those indonesian friends that buys new sports cars and sells to friends for a cheap price after they are fed up with it.
