Battle of the luxusport SUVs: Mercedes Benz ML63 AMG vs Porsche Cayenne Turbo S

ml63amg-450.jpg

Mercedes Benz’s ML63 AMG makes 510ps and goes from 0-100km/h in 4.9 seconds, faster than a BMW 335i. The Porsche Cayenne Turbo S makes slightly more horsepower - 521ps, but is slower to hundred at 5.3 seconds. Watch the video after the jump for an utterly pointless comparison between these two overpowered SUVs, in German. Video after the jump!

    cayenne rocks!!

mercedes doesnt even look nice… (looks as if the designers din put much of an effort to design it..coz it seems soo similiar to the predecessor) looks soo unfuturistic…

cayenne, exterior wise and interior wise, superb!!

meant for those mafia bosses! can act as their runaway car too!
this would surely beat those Polisi in normal sedan… even a Lambroghini couldn’t do offroad chase!

perhaps touareg can notoriously become a tank, if you replace the roof rack with a cannon shaft. i can climb anywhere. bloody hell.

the overall winner is the cayenne as my german colleague pointed out to me. from the video:
cayenne has reduction gear which gives it better off road performance
    better overall handling

    Great video presentation.

    Loved it!

True enough, the ML just doesn’t look sporty enough. While the Cayenne is huge but it kinda looks bulky.

Performance wise, I’d say it’s a head-to-head competition. All depends on the personal preferences of its potential customers.

Personally, I’d still go for the Touareg. It’s got the looks and performance to match.
