FAW Haima H12 Electric Vehicle

Haima H12

This is the First Automobile Works Haima H12 EV, an electric vehicle that looks suspiciously like the Mazda3 Sedan. It was shown at the 2007 Shanghai Auto Show, but no specs can be found anywhere on the net, typical of Chinese manufacturers. The Haima H12 is supposedly built on an older generation Mazda 323 platform, which should probably explain it’s resemblance to the current generation Mazda 3.

Spyker F1 Car vs F16 Jet

Another one of those crazy promotional stunts - a Spyker F1 car goes head to head against an F16 Fighter Jet. This little 1,000 meter drag race was held at the Volkel Air Force Base. In the F1 car’s driver’s seat is Spyker driver Christian Albers, while piloting the F16 is Captain Ralph Aarts.

Toyota has prepared this special Toyota Hilux Sport Concept for display at the 2007 Commercial Vehicle Show in the UK. Peugeot 207 Van

PEUGEOT 207 VAN

This confirms my suspicions that the Peugeot 206 and Peugeot 207 must be the only car in the world with so many body shell configurations. This is the Peugeot 207 Van, which replaces the Peugeot 206 Van, naturally. It has three engine options, two HDi diesels, 1.4 litre 70 bhp and 1.6 litre 90 bhp and a 1.4 litre 75 bhp petrol engine. As a van, it provides a maximum load area of 1.1 m3 and a payload of 450 kg. This must be the most good looking van in the world.

Around the lap in a Lamborghini Murcielago LP640

Lamborghini LP640

The Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 is a track monster sporting a 6.5 liter V12 that like it’s namesake has 640 horsepower at 8,000rpm, and 660Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. All that power is put through all four wheels using an all-wheel drive system and a 6-speed manual gearbox, with an optional 6-speed e-gear automatic gearbox. Check out this recording of someone getting a taxi ride around the track in an LP640 belonging to Valentino Balboni, Lamborghini’s chief test driver.

MyEG - Motoring Services Online!

You may have noticed a new banner on the right side of the sidebar from MyEG Services. Basically, MyEG is one of the Malaysian E-Government MSC Flagship Applications, and they provide motoring-related services among others.

It is connected to a few government departments such as JPJ, DBKL, PDRM, and the Department of Insolvency. Basically the Department of Insolvency handles cases like bankruptcy. Anyway, on to the motoring related services. You can check and pay your summons from JPJ, DBKL, and the PDRM, and the latest added feature is the ability to renew your CDL Driving License online for a period of up to 5 years. They can even remind you when your license is about to expire. Pretty convenient huh?

Check out MyEG Services with the link in this text, or the banner on the top right.

Impak Maksima Trailer: local drift movie?

Impak Maksima Trailer Screen Capture

A reader sent in this link to a video on Youtube, upon checking it out I found that it’s a trailer for a locally produced movie on drifting! The movie is called Impak Maksima, and it features classic drift cars like the AE86, complete with Fast & Furious style glowing neon lights under the car! It also features Malaysian drift personality Tengku Djan and his Nissan-powered Proton Waja rear wheel drive. As usual, I’ve hosted it locally so you can enjoy faster viewing speeds. Video after jump!

Chery Windcloud vs Ferrari F430

Nissan GTR

For a 1.6 liter Chinese-made sedan to keep up with a Ferrari F430 on the track could only mean there is some huge difference between driving ability of the two drivers biased to the driver of the Chery, but let’s just have a look at this video anyway.
