Scion might develop Scion xP pick-up

Scion xP

Toyota is considering adding a small monocoque two-door pick-up truck (think Proton Arena) to the Scion car line-up, which should fit right in to the whole youth and lifestyle angle of the Scion marque. Rumours are that a likely name for this new vehicle would be the Scion xP, with the P naturally standing for Pick-Up.

Scion currently has three cars in it’s line-up - the xB and xD 5-door hatches and the tC 2-door coupe. The new Scion xP’s styling could be based on the previously exhibited Scion FUSE concept shown above, which is something like a 2-door pick-up, except the truck bed is a large boot integrated into the coupe-hatch-like design. Translated into a real world production version, a traditional pick-up bed might be used instead.

I wonder if Scion is making money? Their method of selling is ingenius, and notice that basic prices seem attractive but once you pile up accessories it does not necessarily become a ‘cheap car’. Also, accessorization is online, so Scion makes money on them, NOT the dealers. Hahahaha!

Nice, would be nice to see an addition to this group of cars. I’m thinking along the lines of a Chevrolet SSR, albeit one with a more modern and young look.

thats the basics of just about everything. give you a cheap base price, then rape you on the accessories. what paint protector, window tinting. i think for scion its just another different sort of accesssories.

that one looks like a mini chrsyler 300c. except you can load up on maybe longer or bigger guns with the pick up like configuration.

It doesnt look like a pick up to me, if you are refering to this picture. Unless Paul put up one pic then write another story.
Paul, can have a front view of this car or not?
