New European Honda Accord pre-Geneva teaser

Honda has released these teaser images of the new European market Honda Accord, which has traditionally been very different from the model that the US and Asian markets get. Generally the European Accord is slimmer and sleeker, something like the first generation Mazda 6 that is sold on our markets. Europeans do not expect D-segment sedans to be big and fat as over there a younger crowd is able to afford them.

These teasers are for the Tourer (estate) model, but we will see both the sedan and Tourer models unveiled at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show this year. The US market will most probably get this car, but badged as an Acura TSX, as the previous generation CF-series European Honda Accord was also badged as the first generation Acura TSX.

Expect styling to be based on Frankfurt 2007’s Honda Accord Touring concept.

More shots and a video after the jump.

As long as it is dramatically different than the 2 previous face-lifts, i think it would be a seller. We have huge Honda fan base in Bolehland.

Don’t let the Accord lose its appeal, in terms of pricing and design, to the Civic 2.0L like how it has happened before… IF this car ever be sold here.

Actually Wagon got more space and better safety compare to normal sedan… A lot of Europeans wants a wagon coz the price is almost the same wif sedan and u get better space + safety.

For the foreigners: Safety first, spacious and be responsible to environment and pedestrian. Wagon is a good car to drive, try some especially the Audi A4 wagon or the Volvo V70. Some even said the handling is even better due to balance weight. Just dont judge a book from it’s cover.

wagon is always more expensive than the hatchback and sedan version of the same model. the extra in the range of 2000euro.

the current version of the accord tourer here in europe…..somehow they screwed up with the rear passenger seats….placed it too ‘forward’….thus having a huge storage space but little leg rooms for the rear passengers. hopefully they have rectified this.

really wished it comes with a wagon variant!

apart from affordable Ford Lynx wagon(around 2001/02), Chevy Optra wagon(2005), Skoda Fabia wagon(2005), there not much wagon reached our shore! (exclude Audi, BMW, Volvo, Merc & etc.)

its been a long-long time, Japanese makes wagon didnt reach here!
The last i ever knew was Nissan AD Resort(aka Wingroad Y11 launched 2000)

the meter panel is so much neater compared to the Accord we’re going to get soon. quite dissapointed with ours but maybe a tactic to use for the next facelift on this new model or higher specs model only.

Can it beat the most attractive wagon yet,Volvo V40?

I already like it. Even without seening the full pictures.

There are a few spy pic floating around for a camo’ed sadan. It has much softer curves compared to the last TSX.
