2009 USDM Mitsubishi Galant Facelift Revealed

New Galant

Everyone’s waiting for the next generation full model change Mitsubishi Galant that was previewed as the Mitsubishi Concept-cX to arrive, but Mitsubishi decided to facelift the current Mitsubishi Galant in the American domestic market anyway.

The USDM Mitsubishi Galant can be had with either a 160 horsepower 2.4 liter inline-4 MIVEC engine with a 4-speed auto, or a 238 horsepower 3.8 liter MIVEC V6 with a 5-speed auto that takes the V6 Ralliart model from 0 to 100km/h in about 6 seconds.

More shots after the jump.

Oh my! What is happening to this model? No attraction at all.
Seems like I’ve met this model before. Yea! I saw it in 1982.
However, if mitsubishi offer me for free, I’ll take it. To make ‘TUKUN’. To buy it, NO WAY!

This car looks ugly! I prefer the Taiwan’s Grunder…

Ugly front. Back looks too much like Sonata. Dash should have a full size LCD display. Meters should have been Optitron styled like most other luxurious cars today. No steering mounted controls. Mitsi is not doing too good nowadays.

    Nice big reversing lights.

I know most people will say the Koreans copies Japanese. But this is the other way around! Lots of Hyundai Kia inspired styling.

very ugly..it looks dated..i jus hope our own upcoming perdana wont be based on this…

Aiya…. I don’t think Proton will base anymore model on Mitsi. Judging from Gen2 to New Saga, they’ve proven that they can produce their own cars. So I doubt, Tahir will want to look back at old chapters of Proton’s history.
