Nissan Qashqai now available as a 7 seater

Nissan has added a new three row 7-seater version of the Nissan Qashqai to its model lineup. The new SUV is called the Nissan Qashqai+2, aptly named because it is the Qashqai essentially with two more seats in the third row.

The new Nissan Qashqai+2 only shares body panels with the Qashqai at the front up to the A-pillar, after of which it looks like the same SUV, but only a longer, extended version. The wheelbase has been extended by 135mm while length has been extended by 211mm. The new Qashqai+2 is also taller by 38mm.

The third row is designed to fit humans up to 1.6 meters tall, which should be fine for children. The third row can be folded down to enlarge the boot area.

Engine options range from a baseline and probably underpowered 1.6 liter petrol, up to a 2.0 liter piezo-injection turbodiesel with 148 horsepower and 320Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Tan Chong now has an interesting model here that can be slotted into the same segment as the Hyundai Santa Fe and Chevrolet Captiva 7-seater SUVs currently occupy.

    is this x-trail replacement?

No Xtrail replacement already in the market and not much different than existing in Malaysia one.

Qashqai/Dualis has smaller dimension, slightly bigger than T Rush with better package.

first look at the front like Mercedes Benz :)

Hopefully Tan Chong bringing this in ??

well…this is the car that interest me if available in Malaysia…
Currently, Naza world has 2 units for sale (brand new, 2008 model, one
    black& 1 silver, looks like a baby murano!!!)…but damn expensive…
    RM22xK…for a 2L car !!!

if Tan Chong brings in this car…it will definetely give CRV a close
    competition !!!

X-Trail 2 and Nissan Dualis/Rouge/Qashai are 2 different models with
identical platform…I think Tan Chong will either bring X-Trail 2 or
    Dualis…not both together !!!

I really hope this beautiful SUV can be priced at CRV pricing….

whether this baby has a 4WD system or 2WD…

Nissan will not bring in this model until probably 5 years later as CBU - we are proud to be the last considered market

wahseh.. the price about 220k for a 2L diesel engine haaa.
die oso choose CRV loo.. or xtrail. Sit these before, really nice. Should be value for money.

above RM22xK is naza price (indise got no audio/gps system)…tan choong price should be a lot lower…. just sit on it just now at the Shell Ferarri V-power carnival at Sunway new wing boulevard….there are 2 cars…1 black Nissan Dualis and 1 white colour Mazda CX-((cost RM29xK….)

I noticed that actually CRV gives better legroom/more space than
the Nissan Dualis…but exterior wise, the Dualis looks sportier/contemporary !!! looks like a murano…

but money goes to CRV due to the comfortable/space inside !!!

Well, that’s a custom plate, early 2007 plate is 07 not 70. eg, NS07QAI, second half of the year, the plate will be eg. NS57QAI. :) Plate like X70VER needs to be bought by premium like u buy single digits or double digits plates in Malaysia

ETCM would be allocated either X-Trail or Qashqai….

IMHO, it would be X-Trail(2nd Gen.) most probably as X-Trail are quite popular, and to maintain it depreciation(2nd hand value) by continuing its model…

They should retire the X-Trail and bring this in as the replacement.
