Volkswagen updates Touareg 3.0 V6 TDI

Touareg TDI

Volkswagen has updated the 3.0 liter V6 TDI engine installed in the Volkswagen Touareg with a version that puts out more power, torque, and yet emits less CO2 pollution - 262g/km versus 278g/km.

The new engine now makes 240 PS, which is 15 PS more than before. Peak torque has been raised by 10% from 500Nm to 550Nm. Thanks to the increased power and torque, 0 to 100km/h acceleration times now take 8.3 seconds, a drop of 0.9 seconds from the previous 9.2 seconds figure.

The new engine is Euro 5 compliant and features a Diesel Paritculate Filter.

vw engines always impressed me alot. with their high power rating and performance. Good car package as well.

at another hand, i always concern about the engine lifespan. and maintainance. changing engine oil regulary is really painful experience.

wow, i’m impressed. a 50Nm torque and 15PS power increase can shave off 0.9s for the century sprint? that’s pretty amazing. i suppose it’s how all that power is delivered that matters.
