Kia Sportage for Korean Domestic Market

Kia Sportage KDM

The Korean domestic market Kia Sportage gets a different exterior look than the facelift that we received last year. The Korean Sportage gets a more Rondo/c’eed-like look on the front end.

Two engine options with a total of three variants are available in Korea - a 2.0 liter CVVT petrol engine with a 2WD drivetrain, or a 2.0 liter turbodiesel with a Variable Geometry turbocharger available with either a 2WD or 4WD drivetrain.

The turbodiesel engine is the more powerful one, putting out 151 PS at 3,800rpm and 320Nm of torque at 2,000rpm as opposed to the petrol engine’s 142 PS at 6000rpm and 188Nm of torque at 4,500rpm.

    Nice but I have this ‘mantra’ in myself;
When you want to buy phone say “NOKIA”
When you want to buy car say “NO-KIA”
sorry KIA! (talking based on experience in Boleh-Land)

    Yeah Korek Korek Korek.

Mahathir once said that we must look to the east. Well, if you keep on go and go and go, you’ll end up in the west!

    No offense.

Anyway, Korek Korek Korek again, the 1st picture resembles the old CR-V, another copycat!

    And it’s a bit Proton/Citra-ish in the 3rd picture.

lol, CR-V is much better, in terms of body design, handling and performance…..

I like this facelift very much, if the price could stay as same, I’d buy it. Actually wanted to book Sportage this week, but now don’t know how long will it take for the facelifted version to reach here.

Its a national car for Koreans so I guess thats why the Sportage still exist, likewise to our Saga, old model but new looks, much improved too.

Besides the grille, front and rear lamps, and twin exhaust, the rest are the same. At least they used white as the new black. :D

Front lamps like a boxed Tiger eye for GEN2 and Persona. :))

pic no. 8 gives an impression that the car come with plastic hubcaps…which I think it should be alloy wheel, yes?.

Am I the only one reading this wrong?

Nice . The size looks bigger than the previous model. Almost as big as the Sorento

Nice rear exhaust…and thats it. Nice CR-V mimic design. Only problem is this car will not look new after it comes out. Will look dated
