MV Agusta F4 Tamburini
Apparently MV Agusta could have a new owner or at least a large shareholder in the form of Tata Motors, according to Italian bike magazine euroMoto. MV Agusta used to be owned by Proton and was disposed of a few years ago for a sum fo 1 Euro. Since then, MV Agusta’s new owners have not been able to do much with the company, and its ails continue, lacking funds to channel towards new product development.

I’m sorry to say this, but this is obviously why Tengku Mahaleel (TM) and his circle’s decision are very unbrilliant to buy this company in the first place. First because MV Agusta itself doesn’t know how to make money. Second TM also doesn’t know how to run a motorbike business.
Then when Proton released the burden by selling off the company for a sum of 1 euro he made a big noise and even bigger noise after Volkswagen (or some other company not so sure of the name) bought the company for quite a hefty price.
Remember Juara and Arena remember TM.
Hopefully TATA will do it better this time around. Good luck!

MV agusta…damn sexy bike…hopefully TATA will revive ths co. …other than Ducati, MV Agusta sure known how to make soul inducing + mouth watering bikes…but if looking for a sbk, would definately choose the safer route & buy those generic japs bikes..less headache unless got extra $$$ than would buy ths for show….hehehee…Ducati/MV Agusta = Alfas…nice to look/show-off but sure headache to own

it still makes sense that a company with money will still want to buy MV Agusta.
money can buy you the brand(italian, sexy, heritage), but money alone may not necessarily build you a similar brand.

Yes, it ( or he, Mr. Ratan Tata) is. He bought Jaguar and Land Rover (both premium brands). It was a good buy as Jaguar is picking up good reputation with its XF. As for the MV Augusta. I don’t really know his attention. Possibly to revive the brand to go against Ducati or those Japs bikes (well good luck for that).
