Hartge BMW 135i Coupe comes with 350 horses

Hartge 135i

Hartge has made the BMW 135i Coupe even more rapid with a new styling and performance kit that brings the 135i up to 350 horsepower at 5,660rpm and a massive 480Nm of torque at 2,950rpm. That’s more torque than the new BMW M3’s V8 puts out, and installed in a smaller car too. 0 to 100km/h takes 4.8 seconds while an unrestricted top speed is achieved at 280km/h. The rear end styling of the car even gives it an M-like quad tailpipe exhaust.

The power figures in this car however falls short of the monster that Hartge created two years ago based on the hatchback version of the 1-Series. The Hartge H1 is based on the BMW 130i M Sport hatchback. They basically dumped the N52B30 and put in the 5.0 liter V8 engine from the E39 BMW M5. New cylinder heads, cam profiles and engine management are slapped on for a total of 450 horsepower and 510Nm of torque.

This is so much power that the car’s rear subframe had to be replaced with stronger components. All that madness shaves about 0.2 seconds off the 0 to 100km/h mark.

Look after the jump for more hi-res photos of the Hartge 135i Coupe.

Oh I see now…no wonder petrol price is only reduce merely 10 cent. Looks like all the G’s cronies are eyeing for this baby! Hmmm…so this is where the tax payer money goes to…in their pockets for them to taste the luxury of the world.

    Bah! Focus on the car…

I never actually like this 1 series front version looks. Rather fancy the 3 series M3 front looks. Anyway, 350 bhp and 480 Nm of torque…that’s rather tasty to been driven around. Look at it…it has more torque than the M3! This should give the M3 run for their money in the performance department. Still, it can’t beat the lovely M3 V8 engine notes (Oh man, I’ll never forget how great it sound) and the looks!

i like how the 1 Series coupe looks as it resembles the E30 (although the wheels on this Hartge looks like an overkill)…also 350hp should be more than enough to compliment the handling

the wheel arch clearance is very small.with our Malaysian potholes you’ll be damaging the tyres pretty soon

in terms of outright power, bmw and its tuning houses are not as crazy as their rivals at audi and mercedes.. now those guys are really power crazy.. i suppose since they’ve never really 100% managed to match bmw in the handling stakes in the eyes of the consumer, they concentrate on other things..

mercedes - power crazy but awful to drive
audi - power crazy, good to drive but four wheel drive and its a volkswagen underneath
bmw - good to drive, rear wheel drive but not enough power
lexus - we are only into hybrids and cheapo exhaust add-ons(lexus IS-F)
jaguar - xf-r solution to all problems
