Peugeot 107 gets a facelift for 2009

New Peugeot 107

Two out of three of the B-Zero project gets facelifted this week – and this is one of them, the Peugeot 107. One the exterior, the 107 facelift gets a new front bumper and 14 inch alloy wheel design, as well as two new colours – Mandaline Orange and Electra Blue. The interior gets a new Stilada trim, which consists of two choices – a black background trim with silver-grey flecks and a black background trim with orange-red flickr. The Alcantara trim gets an upgrade – its now specified in black with silver-grey stitching. Apparently both the petrol (A 3-cylinder Toyota motor) and diesel engines have been tweaked for better fuel consumption as well.

Look after the jump for a gallery of the facelifted 107.

Exterior and interior better than Myvi but smaller. Likely much more solid. Like it. If <50k, can buy for personal use — meaning reserve big car for family.

rm50k? ckd price or cbu price? how many will actually buy this at rm50k? consider this, it is slightly smaller than the myvi and has an interior about the size of the viva… minus the height. but it is way more solidlah and has a toyota 1.0L engine, thanks to the tie up with toyota. any takers?

This is a rebadged toyota agyo with different exterior styling. Interior wise, apart from steering wheel, it is a toyota.

I’m biased to say that the C1 still looks better than the 107 :)
Mine is getting me 17+ km to a litre fuel economy and they are improving it with this new one!

U guys notice that Peugeot always making those different kind of car. So different that only the designer himself knows how to appreciate it.
Look at this, it just like a big flat tongue sticking out from the big wide mouth. Just like those affrican natives, the designer an affrican?

Oddly enough, I see a lot of C1 instead of the Aygo (almost none) and 107 (a few) in France. Perhaps over at uk, the numbers would be flipped in favour of the Aygo.

I think the C1 retails for a few hundred Euro’s less, so that might explain it. I still like how the C1 looks, its much more cohesive than the 107.

Those that have not seen it in person, its about between a Viva and Myvi in size, and its a proper car with proper safety features.

opps..before I get shot, I would have that it “feels” between the Viva and Myvi in size, the interior feels is much more spacious. The C1/Aygo/107 is actually smaller than the Viva

    4G63T DSM (gosh that’s a long nick!!)

I have seen the car in europe too and nearer to home, in singapore where they sell it. the interior is as the europeans like to say, “fits like a glove”. so, don’t expect oodles of space like the myvi. feels like a lower roof viva inside.

but frankly, i don’t think malaysians will pay a premium for a more driving focussed little car. what malaysians want is the biggest interior at the smallest money with an engine that is japanese from preferably a japanese or japanese linked brand name. the desired car doesn’t even have to handle very well as in the case of the current malaysian/japanese joint offerings.

i like the c1/aygo/107 trio but sadly, the future of these cars in asia or more specifically malaysia in this context is at best limited and not considered profitable for the importers due to severe competition and local prejudices against the europeans, etc.

According to various sources, the fuel tank of Peugeot 107, Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo can be easily damaged in the event of a rear-end collision which may result in fire. However, owners should not fear – such fires are generally not common, so the 107, C1 and Aygo are not some 21st Century incarnations of North American Ford Pinto.

Many owners complain that airbags of the 107, C1 and Aygo sometimes inflate when a collision is not present, but the driver presses the brake pedal in order to stop the car suddenly. Others complained that their airbags didn't inflate when needed, so they were injured as a result.

The 107, C1 and Aygo are prone to rollovers due to their proverbial stability problems. According to one survey, 75% of Peugeot 107, Citroën C1 or Toyota Aygo owners have experienced problems with stability and/or steering resulting in temporary lack of control.
