Fiat has replaced the diesel-powered Fiat Bravo 1.9 MultiJet with the new Fiat Bravo 2.0 MultiJet, which is equipped with a new more powerful greener engine that is compliant with Euro 5 standards, improved from the old engine’s Euro 4. With the help of a DPF (diesel particulate filter), the new Bravo diesel’s CO2 emissions are down from 149g/km to 139g/km. It is also more fuel efficient, rated at 53.2 mpg, up from 50.4mpg.
The new engine’s 2.0 litre displacement is thanks to a 1 inch increase in bore compared to the 1.9 litre model – 83 x 90.4 compared to 82 x 90.4. The commonrail direct injection engine’s compression ratio has been reduced from 17.5:1 to 16.5:1, but this has been presumably compensated with higher turbo boost pressure. The turbocharger used has variable geometry and is equipped with an intercooler.
Horsepower is up from 150 at 4,000rpm to 165 at 4,000rpm, while torque is up 55Nm from 305Nm at 2,000rpm, now rated at 360Nm at 1,750rpm. The increased power and torque contribute to a better 0 to 100km/h acceleration time of 8.2 seconds, which is 0.8 seconds faster than the outgoing model.

its hard to see such as medium size car got 2.0 engine in malaysia..
i think it should be increasing the bore diameter by 1mm not 1inch.
looks like vw golf ..
will fiat bring it to malaysia ??
the hp not much different from Bravo GT 1.4T..but the torque kinda impressive for a hot hatch. price fro Gt abt 135k..how abt this car?
Knowing Torino Motors, probably not… and even if they do bring it in, expect it to be in very limited numbers. Quite frankly, Fiat needs a new distributor in Malaysia – thanks to Torino, we haven’t got the Panda (only imported in limited numbers), we only have the lowest-end Punto Grande, and there’s no sign of the 500. Last time I spoke to them, they were hoping to bring the 500 in and price it in the same league as a premium hatch (i.e. > RM130k), which is bullshit because it’s only marginally cheaper than the Panda in other markets and less than the Punto Grande.
They’ve got the Bravo 1.4 T-jet here, at least.
Bravo…Nice looks…However,Fiat cannot be popular in Msia,maybe this brand cant convince us totally…
i think it’s not abt the brand..it’s abt how they do the marketing…look like golf gti..u can find vw advert in major newspaper..but u cant see any fiat advert in newspaper.
nice looks, nice engine.

your are right, but also, it is “about the brand”. if you dont do marketing, you’re not doing branding.. and branding is important, so that people will change their perception towards your brand. also.. lots of PR work is important.. imagine for example.. they let paul testdrive all their cars, and if paul likes what he see, writes a good positive reply about the car, then people will start to think .. “hmmm.. the fiat isn’t so bad as i thought after all”, then they would have started towards building their brand positively..
but my comments are just in general, and in the real world, there are many many things that involve a lot of work, money and have to work together to make it happen. also, it takes time.
@pqz21
That is what happened when a guy write a thing that he himself don’t understand.
