Hi, i am a newbie here. Just sign in bcoz wanna share with u guys pics which i believe may provide us ideas and clues for the upcoming proton mpv. These 2 pics were taken about 2 years ago when i visited the proton's booth somewhere in klang valley during the launch of proton savvy tat time.

In these pics, we can see clearly the clay model which is actually 1 sided model attached to the mirror that reflect the other side of it. The model i think more like a proton hatch back version aka myvi killer than a mpv itself. Nonetheless, i hope it offers some useful exterior design clues for us to imagine how the mpv will looks like. Notes the front profile which i think looks good actly, but too tiger-ish and seems a bit odd after all...- a little re-design please..and the rear of it may let us think of the lotus cars' rear which may be a direct copy form the sportscar. however, what i like the most is the side curves on the car's body which i never seen in any other mpv b4...radical and retro-my regards for this model.

And now, what do you think of it?

wow..the 1st thing that came and make me  Shocked is the side profiles..love it or hate it..i abselutely love it. So unique but as for the front and back.. Undecided not feelin' it.

Maybe this is just a design exercise? who knows.. But hope it  will be another great "stuff" from'em.

Proton will launch a number of new models within the next 18 months, two of which will be significant. The company will also have a MPV model before long (right picture shows a concept model displayed two years ago).

why didnt i get these pic before i render my MPV impression...haiyah...
to my sense, the production version will have a tone down version of this clay model.i wont hv those radical curve on the side. I think they will re-design the front fascia(i very hope so), because on this clay model,it looks like a rat(complete with eyes nose and 2 protruding teeth). if look like tiger still ok ma

this news also been posted in paultan's blog...it was long ago.and this mean that the proton mpv wont be hving major cues from the apx, since there is already another company using the concept APX as their production car.

my 2 cents

Toyota Wish with Proton Stering Wheel?
Hehe.. I guess the rumours are correct.. Proton bought 3 Toyota Wish and fit them with Perdana V6 engine, CAMPRO 1.6 Engine, and CAMPRO 1.6 Supercharged Engine..
I hope they will use the CAMPRO 1.6 Supercharged Engine...
