Mugen showcased a fully kitted up Honda Grace (that’s the Honda City Hybrid to us) at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon. I know many Honda City owners are already thinking of how to get the Grace’s LED tail lamps to retrofit to their cars, but if you want to take it one step further, here’s inspiration.
Exterior mods include a Mugen front grille, front and rear lips, side skirts, LED fog lamps, window visors, carbon fibre wing mirror caps, and a choice of either 16 inch MDG, 16 inch XJ or 17 inch MDF wheels.
There’s also a sport suspension which lowers the ride height by 20 mm, and a sports silencer for those who want a louder, sportier sound. Just remember this is a hybrid after all and the engine will be turning off and on much more than a regular car with auto start/stop.
Interior mods include aesthetic parts such as sports floor mats, sports luggage mats, room mirror covers, and get this – a carbon fiber selector knob that looks like it belongs to a manual gearbox. The Grace of course gets Honda’s hybrid selector knob which is different from the normal City.
We recently saw the Honda City Hybrid on test in Petaling Jaya wearing Melaka trade plates – Honda’s plant is in the state after all. From what we understand, they’re conducting extensive testing before deciding whether to launch it here or not as Honda’s latest hybrid system employs a dual clutch transmission.

HOnda City Hybrid will be launched in Malaysia with a price tag of RM150k. This price is low already because there is hybrid tax exemption.
