GALLERY: 2017 Proton Exora Enhanced – revised look

On the sidelines of the DRB-Hicom-Geely definitive agreement signing ceremony in Kuala Lumpur today, the updated, enhanced Proton Exora MPV was displayed, featuring lightly revised aesthetics and equipment.

Here, the seven-seater bears the latest iteration of Proton badging in black and chrome, along with gloss black accents comprised of the front grille trim, side mirror covers, painted roof, rear spoiler, and tailgate trim. Bumper and side skirt trim pieces a la Exora Super Premium are present here, while these along with the door trim strips are of a more pared-down design.

Rolling stock is a set of 205/55/R16 tyres mounted on Inspira-look wheels with a machine-finished face. Inside, the SP’s faux carbon-fibre trim on the centre console and gearlever surround has been replaced by a new, patterned plastic finish, while seating is trimmed in leather, with the four main seats gaining an additional central strip.

The steering wheel is now identical to that in the Proton Preve, while connectivity now gains a USB port for media input and playback, which will be controlled via a 2-DIN head unit. The second row includes a flip-down monitor for video playback.

Full technical details are yet to be confirmed; in its last iteration the Exora was powered by a 1.6 litre turbocharged four-pot CFE engine paired with a CVT driving the front axle, while a 1.6 litre naturally-aspirated CPS was also available – on this front, it is more than likely to remain unchanged.

Do stay tuned for updates here; in the meantime, enjoy the gallery of the Proton Exora Enhanced.

Kau kena ingat, masa dulu2 , ada keta proton exora prime concept, exora tu yg mula2 pakai style mcm tu , lepastu alza designer copy paste itu exora prime concept rear design . hehehe, perodua kan hebat. Rear axle tercabut, mereka tak mengaku. Sebab dorang hebat. Sama lah mcm kes axia accident sbb steering lock aritu

Can you confirm that this new model has the 3 point engine mount+NVH improvement package as well as a metal oil cooler hose that replaces the faulty rubber ones. Those are apparently the two major changes on this Exora revision.

I hope this car sells well for Proton. Proton must do everything it can to stop the bleeding of RM4 mil per day.

Imagine how many schools and hospitals can benefit with RM4 mil per day.

Like or Dislike: Thumb up 42 Thumb down 7
    • 4 mil per day expenses can instantly lower by half or more if Proton choose to fire those “high pangkat snakes” in the company who everyday sit down in the nice big office but do nothing or who do not come to office slack at home waiting for monthly salary. However, the real issue in the entire organization chart, there’s almost none of people the willing to sacrifice their time to build up the company, all just want high pay and premium company car to travel. U cant find a person who is like Jack Ma/ Steve Job willing to sacrifice their everything to raise the company…

Ertiga is a B segment mpv, this one is a C segment. Could you not tell by the bigger engine and better specs?

Exora is a C segment MPV and Ertiga is a B segment mpv.
Btw, nothing beats the value of the Exora in terms of size, power and ride quality.
The closest is of course the Inova and Chery Mxime but the Inova is pricier and the Maxime has its reliability issues

Did they managed to finally put in isofix/latch points?

Very short sighted of proton to launch a “family” MPV without a proper way to mount child seats.
