July 2017 week five fuel prices – petrol, diesel up again

Yes, it’s Wednesday again, and that means there’s another fuel price announcement in store for this week. After a temporary respite from two straight weeks of increases, fuel prices are back on their upward trend.

From tomorrow, July 27, RON 95 petrol will be priced at RM2.03 per litre (up six sen from RM1.97 per litre last week), marking the first time the fuel has crested the two ringgit mark since the second week of June. Meanwhile, RON 97 petrol is priced at RM2.28 per litre (also up six sen from RM2.22 per litre).

As for Euro 2M diesel, it will retail at the pump at RM1.99 per litre (up three sen from RM1.96 previously) this week, while Euro 5 diesel will go for RM2.09 per litre (also up three sen from RM2.06). These prices take effect from midnight until August 2, when the next price adjustment will be announced.

This is the 18th weekly fuel pricing update since the system’s implementation on March 30. Compared to March 2017 prices, which was before weekly pricing took effect, RON 95 is down by 27 sen (from RM2.30 per litre), RON 97 by 32 sen (RM2.60 per litre) and diesel is down by 21 sen (RM2.20).

OMG OMG OMG, gone up by a whopping 6 sen. So, it is true, after Raya, it will keep on going higher and higher and higher.

Already we are way overpaying. With global Ron prices, our Ron 95 should not be more than RM1.40 to RM1.50. But we are now paying RM2.03, 53 sen more.

Calculate that extra payment with about 10 million motorists. Gomen earns extra many billions per month.

Yet, our hospitals have run out of money and our universities have run out of money.

Government/BN is giving away free full tank to help alleviate rising fuel cost/vote-baiting…for motorcycle 150 cc and below. Never thought that our votes are worth so little. People, remember this pain from increasing cost of living and make the wise choice in this upcoming general election!

Malaysia still selling poisonous Euro2M diesel? That was banned in Europe like 10 years ago cause Euro 2M is Euro 1.5. It is so ancient and toxic to the health. Infact EU has categorized it as ARSENIC.

They made more profits selling the low quality Euro 2M. Typical msian company mentality. Always give msian scraps.

Bila naik dipersalahkan kerajaan. Bila turun kenapa tak puji kerajaan? Ada yg dah turun. Kangkung dulu naik sekarang ni dah turun. Minyak masa turun tak nak puji kerajaan, sekarang dah terlambat. Rasakan.

This is BS. There shouldn’t be an increase. Even so, AT MOST 1 sen hike for Ron95. I have already adhere to their calculation method based on daily MOPS and BNM exchange rate yet I’m so far off. This isn’t right.

Did u notice when there is price reduction,it is 2sen many instances.
But when it goes up….2-10 sen/litre.
Now,nobody is complaining except the poor consumers.
Our menteris cant be bothered even if petrol is retailed at rm3/litre cos they r chauferred driven in Hondanas.

Is it fair? I don’t know. The data tells. Lets see how the fuel price’s movement for next Wednesday.
