With order books now open for the Peugeot 3008, we now bring you a walk-around tour of the fully-imported (CBU) French SUV. For the Malaysian market, two variants of the 3008 – Active THP and Allure THP – will be available.
Prices start at RM142,888 on-the-road without insurance for the Active THP, which is then followed by the Allure THP at RM155,888. These prices come with a five-year/120,000 km warranty as well as a 24-hour Peugeot Assistance service.
Under the bonnet, a 1.6 litre THP 165 S&S petrol engine powers both variants, providing 165 hp and 240 Nm of torque. Drive is sent to the front wheels via six-speed automatic transmission, with the Advanced Grip Control ensuring proper power distribution in low-grip situations. The 3008 also rides on the Efficient Modular Platform (EMP2), which also underpins the latest 308.
The range-topping Allure THP comes equipped with 18-inch ‘Los Angeles’ alloy wheels, full LED headlights and a GT Line exterior package. However, both cars come with the brand’s i-Cockpit interior, accompanied by premium features such as adjustable ambient lighting, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an eight-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system and piano-key toggle switches.
Without further delay, allow Hafriz Shah to take you on a tour of the new Peugeot 3008. Let us know what you think of the vehicle in the comments section.

Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Absolutely stunning car. This won the European Car Of The Year beating even the Mercedes E class!
Why buy Rm155k when you can buy in 1 year’s time for RM70k?
Still BMW-PSA Prince engine?
French has good design elements in their cars. The dashboard, the seats, the steering wheel, and not to forget the dials. With the price tag that is quite affordable, its really tempting to ones. Damn, even the Citroen DS5 also look very tempting given its price. But, yeah, nah………….
Lookit, fatboy has put on more kilos this week..
Mygad! Persistent personal attacks have even extended to the writers now.
I feel sori for u, bro Haf.
He burnt 30 calorie alone folding the rear seats . He looks fatter because of the out of place flowery shirt .
End up with multiple issues as all other models. I am a Peugeot owner and end up will gearbox issues and the distributor/service centre will try their best to past the bucks to the buyers and makes us suffer. Even after taking them to Tribunal, they will repair but we won’t get satisfaction from the workmanship and their half baked after sales service. Peugeot is a big let down in Malaysia due to various reasons, not to talk about RV. It is ok if the car is good, reliable etc if the RV is low despite the maintenance cost is high enough. Unfortunately, almost everything about Peugeot is bad especially it is sold (after sales service, reliability, durability etc). Please do a through research with Ex-Peugeot users, read lots of blogs on the issues with the particular model which you are eyeing for and also make sure to check the cost of repairing/replacing the particular parts etc. Even with a manufacturer’s warranty, they will the buyer to bear the problem with the car by diverting it is the owner’s negligence of using Peugeot and many more irrelevant reasons. Kindly, please be wise before considering Peugeot and VW. I am not discouraging not to purchase the above two brands but please be prepared with all the challenges for purchasing the two brands as the problems/issues are packaged together in such a way and the respective stakeholders will always wants to wash their hands. Good lucks folks.
Agree with nk.
I couldn’t agree more. My last Pug is pain in the *ss. Both car and SC. Will NEVER EVER consider this brand again.
you own a peugeot or a vw? u talk so much about peugeot’s reliability problem and suddenly pull vw in the picture. anything also u hantam. u don’t realize you hantam your own credibility also. why don’t talk about reliability issues on fiat cars also?
I am a happy Peugeot owner and I must say that I am a rare breed. I read a lot of complaints as well.
But my 2015 2-door Peugeot 208 is chugging along fine with no issues to report in terms of mechanical failure. I have had only one problem – even if it is a problem – which is one of the square LEDs on the rear light cluster failed after 24 months, and each time I send for service the SA keeps forgetting to replace that for me.
Otherwise, it has been a trouble free ownership for me, alhamdulillah. The Pug has been to Fraser’s Hill, Kuantan, JB and soon, Pekan.
One regret: I should have waited for the current generation which has a better engine. Swap, anyone?
My January 2014 Peugeot 508 Premium at 85,000km have Zero problem until today 16/08/2017.
My In law and friend two other 508 also have no problem also.
Only Forum I heard of problem, sorry to say.
A gorgeous car, the interior is very beautiful,
But I think Malaysians still choose CR-V over this car,
Most of the Peugeot users complain about the reliability and spare part problems.
i won’t buy this peugeot and i won’t buy a crv either.
Most Peugeot don’t complain Peugeot cars except you, I doubt that you owned Peugeot, maybe its rival japs car.
Nice than C-HR, this 160k worth to buy
U buy and lets us follow you to service center. Ok…we wan to experience your issues..and feel your sadness..
Most people think the C-HR goes against the 3008. Apparently its the RAV4 that you wanna use to compare..
..which isn’t sold here.
Honda CRV top spec is rm168k.. rm12k more expensive than top spec 3008. Perhaps thats the price for extra 28hp and active safety pack. But 3008 does have other nice features to defend its price.
Let see how much Toyota going to ask for their CH-R. I guess around these prices too.
Don’t bother to those RV, reliability after sale service nonsense.
This car advantage to the other is its power & handling. You will smile whenever you drive it.
Just be patient with this car because it will be caught flue occasionally. And make sure your wallet is thick enough for its medication.
Other than this, I’m very happy & satisfy with my 5 year old lion.
Geely Boyue > all
Proton > all
buy a conti and enjoy. but always remember to have a spare car at home.
I wonder if we can order the GT Line model which has sunroof and auto tailgate?
3008 has less power compare to honda crv 1.5 turbo , mazda cx5 2.5 NA, hyundai tucson 1.6 turbo/2.0 diesel.
The new diesel 3008 1.6l allure automatic car would save buyer with the fuel economy. With the price tag it’s very competitive and it’s voted suv car of the year in Europe! A very good looking car indeed. It’s a shame that the car sold in Malaysia is always more expensive than in other countries due to the taxes levied! Also about the level of competiveness in its economy which needs to be looked at for the better of all Malaysians!
Fantastic car .. Stunning Look .. Born Winner ..

Amazing Car .. Stunning Look .. A Born Winner ..

2) 8th years consecutive Engine of the Year Award
3) Winner of Reddot Award 2017 on both Interior and Exterior
4) The “2WD” that whacked all other “4WD” Asses on Dakar and other competitions ..
5) And the price is more affordable than a “Made in Asia” alot of ppl supporting …
I can see in the comments a lot of people still “hearing this and hearing that” from others about how bad Peugeot is , how bad the resale value is , how bad the service is ..
My advise is .. DOnt just hear … Go find out yourself on :
1) The improvement of the Quality of Peugeot
2) The improvement of after sales service
3) Improvement of the spare parts adaptability towards the weather of Malaysia
In regards of the RV …
Come on guys …
DOnt compare continental to “Made in Asia” ..
You dont simply buy a car , even before buying , starts thinking on wanna sell it … (Mite as well dont buy a vehicle and just ride a bike , or just Uber your way the whole life).
Ask yourself ..
What those “Made in Asia” gives you in their product ?
Do they give you Safety ?
DO they give you Comfort Ability ?
Do they give you Good Performance and Handling ?
DO they give you Good Quality Steel Grade on your car ?? (That is part of Safety) ..
