The mid-cycle facelift of the W205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has surfaced various times across the last couple of years, firstly with the Multibeam LED headlamps which were first seen on the W213 E-Class. This is expected to supersede the current LED Intelligent Light System units as the range-topping headlamp option on the W205 C-Class.
More recently, we’ve seen the interior of the facelifted W205 test mule, which was previewed by the GLC F-Cell with numerous new components to be shared between the SUV and the sedan. These include the new low-profile touchpad to replace the rotary COMAND controller, along with a redesigned touchpad-equipped steering wheel and a larger widescreen centre display.
Now, a photo released by our spy photographers show the car with camouflage stripped off all but the head- and tail lights. As you can see, the standard facelifted W205 will receive a new front bumper with a more aggressive downturned air intake design, and expect the AMG Line models to get reprofiled items as well.
Around the back, aesthetic revisions will appear on the tail lamps as well, while the updated visual package can also be expected to include new wheel designs. Under the hood, the Stuttgart marque’s latest range of four-cylinder OM654 turbodiesels can be expected to feature here, taking over from the 2.1 litre OM651 turbodiesel units that has served since 2008.
Other new engines will likely include the M264 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine – replacing the ubiquitous M274 unit – from the E 350 Coupé and Cabriolet, as well as the M256 3.0 litre straight-six that already sees service in the facelifted S-Class and new CLS. Expect to see the brand’s new 48V mild hybrid system as well.
Comfort equipment and conveniences such as satellite navigation, climate control switchgear and audio systems should also be updated as part of the aforementioned interior revisions. The facelifted W205 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is expected to go on sale from the second or third quarter of 2018.
Looking to sell your car? Sell it with Carro.
Why spend so much money when you can get a equivalently or better Honda car?
Yup. Accordana way better dude.
Sampled Civic 1.5T, feel very obvious body rolling when cruise >160kmh, Honda noticed problems of poor chassis to handle turbo torque thats why added a steel bar cross rear seats, but in fact its not help much. Sampled Passat, and Passat handling its miles better than Civic.
would you mind to list down what makes your honda city/civic/accord better than the C class?

Food is expensive, ringgit is weak, cost of living is high & jobs are scarce. How can afford c keras?
High cost of living or high cost of lifestyle? Which one is happening now in Malaysia? Very thin line… one is due to push factor and one is due to pull and it will be easier to push the blame to someone else for the quest of the pull factor.
MBM & BMW Asia doing record breaking sales this year.
Wow, so fast. Must be like our Wira, can sell so long, no need facelift also
Dont worry, when facelift come out MBM will find it an excuse to raise prices by RM5k. As usual.
Perhimpunan gips Benz lucky draw prize lor.
very useful.
It could be due to the angle of the shots or the lens used to shoot these cars, but the white cars in these pictures look to me like they have a longer wheelbase than normal. A stretched version perhaps.
