The current-generation C7 Audi A6 has been around for quite a while now, and it is well known that a full model change is long overdue. Now that the new A8 and A7 Sportback have said hello to the world, it’s now time for the next-generation A6 (codename C8) to reveal itself.
Ahead of a possible debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, the German carmaker has dropped the first teaser for the new A6. In the short clip, we get to see quite a number of the car’s design cues, which unsurprisingly, are influenced by its larger sedan siblings.
At the front, we see the wider and more angular singleframe grille, which is flanked by headlights that feature signature lighting graphics similar to the A8. We don’t get to see the taillights, but based on a darkened profile shot and spyshots, we know them to be pretty slender-looking units.
The rest of the teaser shows us some of the equipment that will be available on the A6, starting with the virtual cockpit digital instrument cluster, and the A6 teased here is wearing an S line trim package.
The new A6 will likely be underpinned by the MLB Evo platform, which should see some significant weight savings. Expect the usual line-up of four-, six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines to be made available. If the recent Audi models are any indication, the brand’s new mild hybrid system (MHEV) will also be integrated into all powertrains. High-performance S and RS models should be introduced later on as well.

Nope. Unless Audi Germany comes direct, like how MB and BMW is direct currently. Audi is part of VW group, which is already the biggest car company in China.
We not only need Mainland people to run Audi but also the country. then we will be first world in no time
its hard to justify a purchase , unless ur really2 into audis, cuz d go to car in dis segment will either be d RWD fun car beemer or d luxurious e class ,
but of coz id hv an A7 any day in a heartbeat , or a tt rs pocket rocket
