We’re just two weeks out from the launch of the all-new Hyundai Venue, and photos of the automaker’s smallest crossover have already started circulating on the web.
This set of photos was first posted by several outlets in India, clearly showing the front and rear sections of the car. Up front, the Venue appears to get a new variation of Hyundai’s cascading grille, featuring bold chrome strips that form a chequered pattern. Next to it are slim LED DRLs, and the lower housing element is home to the projector headlights.
Fog lamps can also be found in the lower extremities, and the fascia is complemented by a satin silver skid plate. Round the side, the Venue rides on dual-tone alloys – presumably 16- or 17-inch in size – shod with high profile tyres. Plastic claddings can also be seen around the wheel arch, so expect it to underscore the SUV’s lower section in entirety.
The rear reveals a slightly more conservative styling approach, with squarish tail lights flanking the somewhat bland rump. The tailgate design reminds us of the fifth-generation Volkswagen Polo, but here the Venue gets its name spelled out under the badge.
Also seen are SX (high spec) and Turbo badges, clearly indicating that the car will be powered by a turbocharged engine. It’s unclear which engine will deployed here, but the firm’s 1.0 litre three-cylinder petrol is the most likely candidate. In the i20, the same engine makes 100 PS and 171 Nm of torque, but there’s also a hotter 120 PS/171 Nm tune which helps it achieve a 0-100 km/h time of 10.2 seconds.
Inside, the leaked photo clearly shows the Venue’s dashboard. The instrument panel gets the usual analogue dials plus a digital info display in between, whereas the multifunction steering wheel looks identical to that found in the Ioniq.
In the centre rests a freestanding touchscreen infotainment display, possibly featuring Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (via wired connection). Below that is a set of controls for the multimedia system, and further down are dials for the climate control. Beyond that, there’s a 12-volt socket and two USB charging ports.
The Venue is said to have greater focus on maximising interior space, offering equal levels of cabin practicality to the larger Kona despite the more compact footprint. The Hyundai Venue will make its debut on April 17 at the New York Motor Show, and you can watch it live, here.

I agree with you. Proton should have been a Game Changing international brand like KIA. Sadly, our Proton Game Over and now only selling Geely cars in here. Right now, we have high hope on Perodua to go international and will be proven as a Game Changer company
