Honda Malaysia has announced a new colour option – Passion Red Pearl – for the Jazz, City and CR-V. The hue first made its appearance on the facelifted HR-V in its RS variant form, and has also been applied on the BR-V Special Edition and Jazz Mugen concept.
If you’re wondering which colour is shown the door to accomodate the new one, it is Carnival Red for the Jazz, Dark Ruby Red Pearl for the City, and Obsidian Blue Pearl for the CR-V. According to the company, Passion Red Pearl has proven to be quite popular among HR-V customers, with 30% of sales being in said colour.
“With the new colour introduction, the Jazz will exude a young personality feel while the City with a vibrant outlook and the CR-V appears more stylish. We believe all three popular models will look well suited with vibrant colours for the versatile lifestyles of their owners,” said Toichi Ishiyama, managing director and CEO of Honda Malaysia.
Beyond the new colour introduction, Honda Malaysia also revealed details about its sales performance between January and April 2019. During that period, the company delivered 28,000 units, allowing it to maintain its position as the number one car brand in the non-national segment.
Based on its internal data, Honda Malaysia commands a 15% market share, and is currently in second place when it comes to overall total industry volume (TIV). The result is rather impressive given the fact that pricing for the Civic was not available for the first few months of the year, which limited deliveries (pricing is now back). As for other models, the City accounted for 34% of Honda’s overall sales during the period, while the Jazz and CR-V recorded 12% and 15% respectively.

Proton is No.1 in MY. Yes!
It is not a Proton john. It is a Geely. 30 years of automotive experience gone down the longkang
I know Perodua also rebadge cars, but at least they don’t mintak for bailout and bantuan or blame others for their own failure
But john, according to this article :
https://paultan.org/2019/04/22/malaysia-vehicle-sales-data-for-march-2019-by-brand/
We can see at the sales data that Perodua is No 1. Not only that month but for years, Perodua always remain at the top spot. Proton is clearly No.3 and Honda is the second.
I thought is red TAXI!
A frog in the well croaking loudly that he is the biggest, never realising the world is so much bigger. What a katak.
No. 1 in terms of what?
In term of never learn anything. Still kids need to learn from China, and then still “rebadge” China car la pulak.

1. Perodua
2. Honda
3. Toyota
Still cannot beat the sales of the 2018 Myvi. Launched in Nov 2018, Perodua already sold 150,000 cars already, joining the existing 1.1 million Myvis on the road today

Only 3,000 less and from half the number of product ranges compared to Honda. Proton really outdid themselves! Well done.
That is a lot of cars. So what is so great about Proton selling 20,000 cars? No big deal really.
