GALLERY: 2019 Audi Q3 advanced 1.4 TFSI S tronic – from RM270k; see it in person at PACE this weekend

Audi Malaysia recently launched the second-generation Q3, and we’re now bringing you a live gallery of the SUV that competes against the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA. For our market, the Q3 is offered in a single variant – advanced 1.4 TFSI S tronic – that is priced at RM269,900 on-the-road without insurance.

Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MQB platform, the latest Q3 is 97 mm longer (4,484 mm), 25 mm wider (1,849 mm) and 23 mm lower (1,585 mm) than before, with a 77 mm longer wheelbase (2,680 mm). The SUV also sports a new exterior design with cues from other models in the carmaker’s line-up, like the LED headlamps (with high beam assist) and taillights that mimic those on the e-tron.

Audi’s Singleframe grille has been restyled as well, now sporting an octagon-shaped design with vertical inlays, while the advanced styling package adds on contrasting Manhattan grey accents on the bumpers. Other items that are standard include roof rails finished in anodised aluminium and 18-inch five-arm style alloy wheels.

Inside, you’ll find a dashboard layout that isn’t like those in the A6 and A7, albeit without the secondary screen on the centre stack. Instead, there’s a sole 10.1-inch central touchscreen linked to an MMI Navigation plus infotainment system with MMI touch and Audi connect.

Also included in the kit list is a 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit plus digital instrument display, powered front seats with four-way lumbar support, leather/leatherette upholstery, dual-zone climate control, Audi smartphone interface, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, black gloss dash accents, door sill trims with aluminium accents as well as Audi drive select. As for the safety and driver assistance systems, there’s ESC, hold assist, cruise control, hill descent control and Audi parking system plus.

The Q3 will be on display at this year’s Premium Auto Car Expo (PACE) organised by us, paultan.org, which is set to take place at the Setia City Convention Centre from November 2-3, 2019. Audi Malaysia also announced that from November 2-10, customers who purchase any Audi model will qualify for a lucky draw, with the top prize being an exclusive Audi Driving Experience package in Germany worth RM40,000.

We’ve had a chance to sample the latest Audi Q3 previously, and you can read Jonathan Lee’s thoughts about it here. See full specifications of the Q3 at CarBase.my.

This will be ZERO sales. Who will buy this car when for the same price, you can get the new Volvo S60R with 407 BHP and 0 to 60 in 4 seconds?

Audi Germany should open directly in Malaysia. Although new management, the brand is already dead because the workers in Audi HQ, showroom and factory are all ex DRB workers.

They have a lembap GLC attitude in life and have no drive to better the brand or bring it up again

Nobody dare to touch Audi in Malaysia anymore. All owners confirm, parts and service pricing is sky high.

Repair aircon also RM15k for Audi A6. Got logic or not?

Even repair aircon for Merc and BM also about RM7k.

Audi is already dead in Malaysia, somemore they put prices like this. Lagi nobody will buy.

I don’t blame them. Their staff and marketing team still ex staff of DRB and most of them, cannot think intelligently. Just given jobs like the 1.6 million Government servants buta buta

unfortunately it is very underpower when it is compared to x1, gla and mini countryman. hopefully audi Malaysia is considering to bring the 2.0 turbo awd (quattro) version to Malaysia.
