This is likely to be the production version of the 2022 Honda Civic, the sedan version of the 11th generation. Published on the Civic11Forum, this white example wears China market badges, including a “240 Turbo” one, which is used to denote the 1.5L VTEC Turbo engine with 240 Nm of torque.
Seen it before? The car you see here matches the pearl red “Honda Civic Prototype” that was revealed in November 2020. Virtually identical, except for the addition of front foglamps and what appears to be hidden tailpipes. The current Civic FC also has hidden pipes, but the 11th-gen prototype had oval tips at each end.
There’s a bit of an Accord feel to this new Civic, and the notch at the lower window line near the C pillars – seen on the D-segment sedan and Civic Proto – has been retained. There’s also a sloping roofline, continuing the trend started by the mould-breaking FC.
Speaking of the current car, its distinctive “ketam” tail lamps (reminds some of prawn noodle stalls as well) are gone – the 11th gen rear is more conventional. The front and rear LED signatures are inverted L shapes. Also, the wheels seen here are flower-shaped two-tone units that aren’t as sporty as the proto’s twin-five-spokes.
We don’t have interior shots of the production car here, but seeing how closely it follows the prototype (full gallery below), we can expect the proto’s wide, horizontal dashboard to be carried over to the showroom. Like the Accord, there’s a floating screen and a three-button AC panel, but the AC vent strip is more stylish here.
So, which do you prefer in terms of design – this or the current Civic FC? And while you’re at it, check out the all-new design of the 2022 HR-V too.

Blockbuster
“Blockbuster?” Hello…you must be from Mars.
The frontage is evergreen same old pathetic design for last 10 years.
Without looking at the rear, one can hardly tell the design difference at the front.
The rear is like a copy and paste from Toyota and Hyundai.
Its a crying shame ,with supercomputers,Honda keep spewing out drab designs with upcoming models.
Honda must be thinking we eat roti chanai everyday ,same menu day in day out.
We are in abad 21,covidian era…not Stonehenge.
Rear lamp copy kia hyundai
jepunis too lazy to think
chill bro…one word triggered already..lol
Current civic design looks more fierce and sporty.
Toilet seat cover bonnet
Hyundai tail lights
It is Kia Sorento tail lights
Totally like Hyundai sonata tail lights
If using Earth Dream CVT? No thanks
Nice, but when Honda gonna making 3 cylinder?
Still a 4 cylinder from small sedan Honda City sohc/dohc engine?
Can go smaller, like a Honda S660 660cc turbo
Mazda dashboard, Audi front lights a bit like, Hyundai third brake lights
Errr….Sonata lights.
2020 altis design more emotives mostly the rear. as this civic has upright nose. Interesting? Why the clampshell hood abruptly short, should it be lower and longer?, let it flows into the edge of the grill, sit on top of the headlight.
Ugly as heck…!!!
Buy the KETAM while still available…!
the rear looks like the previous Sonata LF 2014.. yucks..
After yesterday’s unveiling of City RS’s pricing, I’m worried that Civic’s pricing will be higher than what it used to be. Close to Mazda 3’s pricing maybe? Even the current Altis is expensive, starting at RM123k++.
Toyota cincang for decades, Mazda cincang for years… Honda also duwanna left out lor…
Overall (including interior) I prefer this than FC. A bit normal and boring btw. But better than go a ‘fancy’ way and become weirder than new accord
Judging from that gap between the hood and the fender, looks like Honda is still plagued with quality issues. Can’t imagine the panel gaps in the cabin.
Personally, the stopper for me to buy FC was the tail light, and the stopper for Accord is even worse tail light. 2022 civic has tail light that doesn’t look too interesting. Just normal
Honda cars never look beautiful, just ok/acceptable.
Hey to differ.
Hark back to the golden age with gorgeous lines like the Prelude MK2 Mk3 and NSX.
Beg to differ …
* damn you autocorrect
The front end design must be inspired by white dolphin, except white dolphin looks better
That day with prototype design was nice.i think civic fc facelift is best looking till now
Rear looks like a Vios…
They should take cue from Altis instead of Vios..Tail lights brought down the overall looks
Less sportier but it can attract family people to buy. It will lost some sales from youngsters but not much youngsters afford 130k. This more suitable for me compared to current civic.
THE CURRENT CIVIC DESIGN IS STILL THE GREAT. FUTURISTIC, AGGRESSIVE AND SEXY.IF THIS 2022 DESIGN IS MADE INTO PRODUCTION THEN HONDA IS GOING BACKWARDS. OBVIOUSLY THAT BOTH FRONT AND BACK DESIGN LOOKS DULL. I JUST CANT BELIEVE IF THIS IS THE BEST THAT HONDA DESIGNER COULD PRODUCE. THEY NEED TO PRODUCE A FAR BETTER DESIGN IDEA TO BEAT THE CURRENT CIVIC. I HOPE THIS GOES AS WELL WITH THE NEXT CRV PRODUCTION.
had a feeling all new hrv debut before this civic whole of last week bang pa in expressway was seen fully covered but can tell it’s the all new hrv
if i think not new hrv becos it looks longer
Dashboard copy mazda, rear copy toyota.. ugly..
honestly FC look better
That bulbous front hood.. Flower horn fish?
Line 1 Para 1 ” The is likely …” Autocorrect made an error.
Got a bad feeling that the curse of the odd Civic generation will strike again.
Honda civic 2022 rear look like previous city ?
FUGLY!!!!
