Having been teased for a a week now, the new fourth-generation Suzuki Jimny is officially on sale in Malaysia. The tiny 4×4 arrives here with a big price – RM168,900 on-the-road without insurance, inclusive of a 50% sales and service tax (SST) rebate (the car is fully imported from Japan).
Naza Eastern Motors‘ second Suzuki model is the same plucky little tyke that has garnered fans the world over, thanks to its small size, boxy G-wagen-on-a-budget design and a surprising amount of go-anywhere ability. But the high local pricing is sure to restrict its appeal, as the car is even more expensive than grey market (recon) examples – although you do get the advantage of a three-year/100,000 km official warranty.
For that money, you get a K15B 1.5 litre VVT four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 100 hp at 6,000 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It is mated exclusively to a four-speed automatic gearbox and a part-time four-wheel-drive system with a low-range transfer box. The basic but rugged ladder-frame chassis is suspended using live front and rear axles and coil springs.
As befits its nature, the Jimny is as no-frills as they come – there are no powered seats, electric parking brake, cameras or even parking sensors to be had here, and you even unlock and start it with an actual key. It does, however, come in the searing Kinetic Yellow hero colour (with a black roof), along with other paint options such as Bluish Black Pearl 3, Jungle Green and Medium Grey.
Standard kit includes automatic LED projector headlights, fog lights, 15-inch grey alloy wheels, manual fabric seats, single-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a seven-inch OEM infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay connectivity and only two speakers.
Safety-wise, the Jimny comes with just two airbags to go with the ABS, brake assist, stability control, hill start assist, hill descent control and rear ISOFIX child seat anchors. As you can imagine, you don’t get autonomous emergency braking or any other driver assistance systems here. Browse full specifications and equipment on CarBase.my.

Harga Yahudi
Inb4 syukur cheaper than Thai
https://paultan.org/2019/03/29/bangkok-2019-suzuki-jimny-launched-from-rm199k/
Way cheaper than singapura too SGD114,100 (RM346,328)! https://paultan.org/2019/04/29/suzuki-jimny-debuts-in-singapore-from-sgd114100/
Ni bukan harga Yahudi lagi ni. Ni harga syetonirojim.
rather top up another 40k to get a countryman.
rather “simpan” 100k and get an ativa lol
Countryman is cute, good city SUV.
Betol Jeep bro. but better buy the Jimny before NAZA kolos shop agains
A what? A Mini countryman? The Jimny is a hardcore off-roader. It’s the worst solution to go to the shopping centre, but the best solution to go on muddy roads to a remote village in the mountains.
Wow, outrageous price!
Kesian la, DOA or BID. How Suzuki has fallen in Malaysia. Sad x 3.
Kereta zaman dinosaur harga yahudi
I think can sell if rm120k
Wow.. Really amazing! 1.7 k per hp is hard to find nowadays. Should ship directly to museum instead of showroom ( literally)!
Holy cow what’s with that pricetag? Our Indonesian brothers are in a much better position than us. RM 170k for a vehicle with 2 airbags and 2 speakers lmao.
At these price it is like killing the car. No wonder Suzuki fails in malaysia
Suzuki was and is making excellent cars. But it just don’t have faith when it comes to Malaysia market. Perhaps it’s always its distributorship strategy that cause the company to fail and continue to fail?
Essential vehicle for a premium price… not a good investment
wow, for 168k, i can really mod up an orignial SJ410 with alot of stuff!
If it is no secret I really want to know how much profit Naza got with this price!
Why not launching in india ,better than thar variant.
Did they announce how the Swift perform in terms of sales? Haha…
are naza so naïve to think that they will be able to sell a lot of units at this price range? only bangsawan or real die hard suzuki fans will buy this.
Fantastic price (thumbs down!)
Hari-hari rakyat kena cucuk dari golongan elit.
Jimny will cost less than rm70k when it is made in India in 2022. malaysia needs to promote itself as an automotive manufacturing destination. lower cost brands like suzuki have a huge market here
Harga itu tidak masuk akal. Price is a very very let down.
True. 1.5 L for RM 160k. Doesn’t make sense. Better buy Hilux.
Silly price. Why suzuki let nazak sell their cars here?
Overhyped & overpriced Suzuki with 2 star NCAP. Better get CX-5 2.2 diesel.
Both vehicles cannot be compared. The Jimny is based on a design for the autralian army. It’s perfect for real off-road use, but not for KL jams.
its almost like its priced without any competitions or class in mind. you want it you have to pay for it. thats it!
cant believe they priced this higher then CX30
Excellent pricing strategy this will put Jimny as Atas car, dont play-play
I rather add 40k to get Fortuner a truely hard core offroader than this partial offroader.
Or save 20k by getting Hilux Rogue……
U r saying the fortuner is a truely hard core offroader and the Jimny a partial offroader?
Wow……
A “real offroader” with huge overhangs and an auto gearbox, hahaha… :D
Haha………haha……..haha………
Naza used to only know how to sell cars and doesn’t know much about after sales…
Now, selling also fail…
Price is too high
Hehehehehe – sorry lah NO NEW VARIANT Jimny or Vitara or whatever for me – 2nd hand refurb case will do for me :D :D :D :D
2 airbags? what is this
RM120,000 in the UK. HMMMM
The concept of the car is exciting for people who outdoors alot. But it’s about rm100k over priced. Perodua should just make a 4×4 Ativa and kill this completely.
What is the percentage out of the entire bolehland population who really really need to daily drive actual 4×4 vehicles?
a lot. but most ppl just buy hilux.
Non stop blood sucker
Suzuki lucky to partner with Naza and very soon again disappear in Malaysia market…
Nice car
