Yokohama Advan Neova AD07

Ah… good shit!

The ADVAN Neova AD07 is the Max Performance Summer tire member of Yokohama’s global family of ADVAN performance tires developed for sports car, sports coupe and performance sedan enthusiasts who love sport driving. Used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on the Lotus Elise, the ADVAN Neova AD07 is designed to provide high levels of traction, responsive handling and driving control in dry and wet road conditions. The ADVAN Neova AD07 is not intended to be driven in cold temperatures or in snow.

Designed to deliver Yokohama’s ultimate dry street performance while maintaining good wet traction, the ADVAN Neova AD07 uses a “fine particle” Micro Silica (MS) tread compound (to provide greater road surface adhesion) molded into a directional tread pattern that features massive, rounded tread blocks to increases cornering stability and steering response. Five large circumferential and multiple directionally aligned lateral grooves resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. Internally, the two wide steel belts reinforced by spirally wound nylon cap plies and provide excellent strength and uniform ride quality while the sidewalls are tuned to resist lateral deflection to provide handling control and feedback.

  • yeah i do. mine are 195/50/R15 and they cost me RM250 per tyre.

they're extremely grippy in the dry. these kind of 'quasi-slicks' work best when warmed up.

    not bad in the wet.

then again, i dont really corner ganas-ly anymore after my accident.

Am using 205/50R16… got it for RM490 for one. A bit ridiculous :)

Superb in dry condition but bumpy ride. Sidewalls of tyres are hard. I personally dont think its that good in wet.

My choice goes to Goodyear Eagle F1 which I used previously. No doubt best in wet.

Im using AD07 205/45/16, tested on the track SIC, what i can say is the tires works very great, very good grips, no floating feeling (cause the side walls very hard) a bit noisy on the normal road… yet to test on wet condition….

i bought in for rm400, klang (kedai papan, yellow colour)

p/s: double thumbs up for AD07

Hi, I'm from KL but grounded in AU studying. If someone would be so kind as to give me a quote for a per unit cost of the Yokohama AD07 205/50/15? I don't want to assume anything but seeing that Paul paid $250/tyre almost a year ago for 195/50/15 and chewcolin/justkir paid an average of $425 for 16s, would it be fair to speculate that they cost almost $250-270 for the size I'm after? BTW Paul, have been an avid patron/fan of your vehicular column for almost a year now and want to take this opportunity to commend you for your commitment to maintain this excellent site and keep up the good work! Are you in KL? If you are, let's meet up for drinks when I come back this summer!
