The latest C8 Audi A6 has been officially launched in Malaysia, with a sole 3.0 TFSI quattro variant being offered, priced from RM589,900 on-the-road without insurance (as we’ve reported previously).
The A6 draws motivation from an EA839 3.0 litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine, which serves up 340 PS (335 hp) from 5,000 to 6,400 rpm and 500 Nm of torque from 1,370 to 4,500 rpm. The mill features a 48-volt mild-hybrid system that consists of a belt-alternator starter (BAS) with a rear-mounted lithium-ion battery to enable coasting between 55-160 km/h.
Other aspects of the powertrain include a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission and quattro all-wheel drive system. Performance-wise, the A6 3.0 TFSI quattro accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and on to a top speed of 250 km/h. The rated fuel consumption here is 7.2 l/100 km.
As for equipment, the A6 comes with 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels in a V-style design (with 255/40 series tyres), HD Matrix LED headlamps and LED rear combination taillights (both with dynamic turn signals), suspension with damper control, all-wheel steering, Audi drive select, the S line exterior package and a panoramic sunroof.
On the inside, you’ll find Valcona leather upholstery paired with Aluminium Fragment inlay, powered front seats with driver-side memory function, four-zone climate control, an ambient lighting package, MMI navigation plus with MMI touch response, Audi connect, Audi virtual cockpit, sunshades, a head-up display and a Bang & Olufsen sound system.
Also standard is Audi pre sense front and rear, six airbags (front, sides and curtain), parking aid plus with around view monitor, lane change assistant, lane departure warning, tyre pressure monitoring system and cruise control with speed limiter.
Customers will get to choose from 11 exterior colours as well as three shades for the Valcona leather. The price mentioned at the start also includes a five-year/unlimited mileage warranty. Find out detailed specifications of the A6 on CarBase.my.

Who on earth will buy this car when you can get a BMW 530e for RM320k? Half the price!
Somemore in Europe, the BMW 530e is far more expensive than this A6 3.0 TFSI.
