BMW Malaysia has added another variant to the G01 X3 line-up in Malaysia with the introduction of the xDrive30i M Sport. At RM328,800, the locally-assembled model costs RM15k more than the xDrive30i Luxury, and included in the price is the same five-year unlimited mileage warranty with free scheduled service and 24-month tyre warranty. However, the X3 xDrive30i M Sport is only limited to 120 units nationwide.
For the money, it gets equipped with a set of 20-inch double spoke style 699 M alloy wheels shod with run-flat tyres, M Sport suspension, M Sport brakes and M Aerodynamic body kit. The front and rear bumpers are sportier – the former gets a more pronounced chin and integrated LED fog lamps, whereas the latter comes with a dark diffuser and dual, chromed exhaust exits.
Inside, the SUV gets M Sport leather steering wheel, M door sills, aluminium and pearl chrome cabin trimmings, as well as M foot pedals and black Vernasca leather upholstery with blue contrast stitching. Equipment-wise, it’s the same as the Luxury line, featuring the same 10.25-inch Touchscreen Navigation system Professional that’s hooked up to the iDrive Touch and 205 watt, 12-speaker HiFi system.
There are no changes to the powertrain as well. Under the bonnet rests the same B48 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology, making 252 hp at 5,200 to 6,500 rpm and 350 Nm of torque from 1,450 to 4,800 rpm. It’s paired with an eight-speed automatic that channels drive to all four wheels, sending it from 0-100 km/h in 6.3 seconds before topping out at 240 km/h. The average fuel consumption is 7.6 litres per 100 km.
Those expecting a spec bump on the safety side of things, well, unfortunately the kit list is identical as before. That means six airbags, two Isofix mounts on the outer rear seats, and the customary set of three-lettered acronyms (ABS, DSC and whatnot). Things like autonomous emergency braking (AEB), forward collision warning, lane-keeping assist and blind spot monitoring system are still unavailable.
The BMW X3 xDrive30i M Sport comes in four exterior colours – Alpine White, Carbon Black, Glacier Silver and Phytonic Blue. Lexus Malaysia announces updated 2019 NX SUV – Lexus Safety System+ added, prices reduced, now fr RM314k.
All also 5 years warranty.
Well, this is BMW’s article, let’s support abit.
Altough many advanced safety missed out compared to even corrolla Sedan 2019, it has however an interesting similarities:Both fording depth of 500 mm may prove useful when confronted with light floods.

Any BMW subscription owner can share thier experience?
G01 x3 is genuinely a great car.
Not anymore for G01 x3 .
So many X3 driving assist features including safety are not available . Maybe Q5 can be same level with X3 but below that of GLC and XC60.
The M Sport suspension alone is a big upgrade for the SUV and for 15k more customers are getting quite a long list of kit not to mention the FOC 5 year service plan. But I have to mention that BMW is still not offering driver assists like lane departure and AEB to it’s lower range models. MBM is still in front in that department but is lagging behind the warranty and service side of things.
If u look carefully on the details of the design, this car is very beautiful and it grows on you…
Harman Kardon audio also left out in this spec. The audio upgrade does a lot to the long term enjoyment of the car.
This is disgusting. Bmw Malaysia still havent learn their lesson yet. Not even aeb????
Test drive GLC and bmw x3. Besides than the interior and technology, bmw x3 drive 100% much smoother and fun than GLC. I am not kidding.
Dear BMW Malaysia, why is our Malaysia version of X3 comes with a different Headlamps design as compared to the overseas model, including Singapore? It looks a bit out of fashion as compared to the newer design… sigh…
Why is there no AEB at least provide an option BMW MALAYSIA ! so lacking many people want that feature espeically, adaptive cruise control esp. Sure people will pay the extra for it.
