The Lotus Eletre will be making its East Malaysian debut this week, so here’s your chance to get up close and personal with the all-electric hyper-SUV. The Eletre will be the star of Lotus Cars Malaysia’s showcase at Spring Mall Kuching, Sarawak, East Court & West Court, from October 8 to January 1, 2025.
The Eletre is an eye-catching car with commanding presence, but different colours give the EV different characters. At Spring Mall, you’ll find the Eletre in Blossom Grey, Stellar Black and Galoway Green. The latter colour is making its public debut in Malaysia, and the stunning green exterior hue is matched with an interesting Malachite Green cabin – check it out below.
The Eletre S, with its 605 hp/710 Nm dual-motor AWD powertrain, is super quick considering its size, with a 0-100 km/h time of just 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 258 km/h. All versions of the Eletre get a 112 kWh battery as part of an 800-volt electrical architecture – WLTP range is an impressive 600 km on the S and base variant.
Should you need even more speed, the Eletre R packs a 905 hp/985 Nm dual-motor, all-wheel-drive powertrain that propels the SUV from 0-100 km/h in just 2.95 seconds. Accelerating the range-topper from 80-120 km/h takes under 1.9 seconds – that overtaking speed is ferocious. A top speed of 265 km/h rounds off an insane set of figures.
As for charging, this electric beast sucks in 350 kW max for DC fast charging, enabling a 10-80% SoC top up in just 20 minutes. For regular home charging, 22 kW AC is supported.
