We’re just a couple of days away from the 2024 Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS), which takes place this December 5-11 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur.

The show, which returns for its 10th edition, promises plenty of automotive-related activity, with close to 70 exhibitors showcasing a plethora of new vehicles and automotive products over nearly 30,000 sq metres of MITEC’s floor space, spread over two levels.

What can you expect to see at KLIMS 2024? Well, amidst the various vehicle displays from Perodua, Proton, Toyota, Honda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Mazda, Kia, GWM, MG, Xpeng and Aion as well as two-wheeled showcases from Modenas, Kawasaki, Harley-Davidson and Royal Enfield, you can expect a slew of fresh takes, with no less than nine new vehicle launches set to happen at the event.

There will also be eight concept car displays as well as a special Ferrari F1 car display featuring four iconic models, and you can also expect to find premium automotive-related services by AVIS, Public Bank, Allianz and others.

KLIMS 2024 will also feature a lucky draw, and ticket holders will be in the running to win a Toyota Yaris 1.5G Limited and a Perodua Axia X, the grand prizes in this edition. Aside from the two vehicles, the lucky draw also includes an assortment of prizes such as an electric scooter, rideable scooter luggage and special edition KLIMS 2024 Touch n Go cards, with prizes totalling RM250k in all.

The event is also offering 1,000 special goodie bags, and there’s also 30,000 exclusive Ferrari die-cast models that will be available for purchase in a buy-1-get-1-free promotion, so be quick if you want to get your hands on one.

A host of activities have also been lined up, and these include a race simulator contest that runs from December 5 to 10, with a grand finale on December 11. Additionally, various car club gatherings have been lined up. Meanwhile, fans of racing legend Naoki Yamamoto will be able to meet the man on December 7 at the Pecca booth.

There will also be Keluar Sekejap Live Podcast featuring Khairy Jamaluddin and Shahril Hamdan as well as various seminars and a series of pocket talks on EV safety by MARii, MIROS and others at the show.

How much is the entrance fee? Well, tickets are priced at RM20 for weekdays and RM25 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday (including December 11, which is a public holiday for Selangor). Teens aged 13-17 and college/university students (with a valid student ID) pay only RM10, while entry is free for kids aged 12 and below. As for show hours, the event runs from 10am to 8pm on weekdays and 10am to 10pm on weekends and December 11.

Despite being a big venue, parking at MITEC could be a challenge due to the high number of expected attendees, but fear not, because Prasarana is offering free shuttle rides to the convention centre from Sunway Putra Mall and Pasar Seni, available every 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Also, car rental firm AVIS will have a fleet of 20 cars offering free rides from those two locations, plus The MET outdoor parking, Publika, KL Sentral and PWTC.
