Celebrate the return of Japan’s premier racing series at SUPER GT Malaysia Festival 2025, this June 26 to 28!

Twelve years after the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit hosted its last SUPER GT race, Japan’s premier sports car race series returns to Malaysia this month for Round 3 of the 2025 SUPER GT season – the only race on the calendar to be held outside the home nation, and the first for the championship since 2019.

To celebrate the momentous occasion, the SUPER GT Malaysia Festival 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza from June 26 to 28, promising intense action both on and off the track. The biggest draw is of course the main race – a 300 km sprint with 34 teams across the GT500 and GT300 classes, each featuring the diverse and incredibly colourful race cars that have made the series iconic. The returning Malaysian round will include two wildcard entries with two Malaysian drivers – Jazeman Jafaar and Adrian D’Silva.

But that’s not all: the festival will also play host to the first ever GR86 Cup race in Malaysia – a spec racing series originating from Japan, involving Toyota’s enthusiast-focused sports car. The Vios Challenge will also make an appearance during the event.

And if all the racing makes you want to buy a new car, then you’ll be pleased to know that two carmakers involved in the top GT500 class – Toyota and Nissan – will showcase their latest and greatest models at the event, replete with exclusive promotions only available during the event.

Other brands will also showcase their automotive-related merchandise such as outfits and car accessories, each with their own deals, alongside official SUPER GT items – including T-shirts, lanyards, windbreakers and many more – that will enable you to show your love for the sport. There will also be more than 50 legendary Japanese domestic market (JDM) vehicles displayed throughout the venue.

It’s not all cars, of course – a Japanese-themed festival called Nihon Matsuri will also take place, offering food, drinks, games and cultural performances all centred around the Land of the Rising Sun. There’s an added incentive for cosplayers – the top three best costumes every day will win RM500 in cash prizes each.

Best of all, if you purchase Main Grandstand tickets or higher with your Mastercard, you will be entered into a lucky draw that will put you in the running to win your very own Toyota GR Supra – matching the GT500 car running on track over the weekend!

Last but certainly not least is the GT Live! Concert on the final day on June 28, with plenty of exciting acts headlined by KLP48, the sister group to the world-famous AKB48. There will also be performances from Naykilla and Jemsii who sang the viral song Garam & Madu, along with Kaka Azraff, Fareedpf, Sabhi Saddi, Sara Fajira and Kaz & Sora.

Visitors can of course head over to the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit by driving there, but specially for this race, there is also a shuttle service with pick-up points at Sungei Wang Plaza (Lobby), Subang Parade (Digital Entrance) and the 1 Utama Bus Stop (New Wing).
