The paultan.org Premium Auto Car Expo (PACE) returns this year, co-sponsored by Carro and RHB Bank, and it is set to take place this month from July 19 to 20 at the Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC) from 9am to 7pm. As before, PACE will deliver the best deals on brand-new and pre-owned premium cars, so be sure to calendar these dates.
Among the participating brands this year is GWM, asserting the unmistakeable off-roader shapes as brought by the Tank 300 and Tank 500 duo. The brand’s recent introduction to the Malaysian market, the Tank 500 is a seven-seater luxury hybrid 4×4 that pairs a 2.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine an an electric motor with switchable four-wheel-drive, packing a total of 346 PS and 648 Nm.
A generous set of off-roading capabilities are central to the Tank 500, bringing electronically locking differentials, a mechanically locking centre differential, off-road cruise control, a water depth detection function and a “tank turn” function that locks the inside rear wheel for tighter U-turns.
Along with its intelligent all-terrain system with 11 driving modes, the GWM Tank 500 is built to tackle all scenarios – be they in urban surroundings, or off the beaten path.
Luxury abounds within the Tank 500, with upholstery coming courtesy of Nappa leather for its seats. Faux wood trim lines the dashboard, where the 14.6-inch infotainment display supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while mobile devices can be charged through the Qi wireless charging pad. Audio is supplied by an Infinity 12-speaker sound system.
The Tank 500 joins the GWM line-up that is already home to the Tank 300, itself a highly recognisable off-roader with capabilities to match, including crawl control, tank turn, along with approach, ramp and departure angles of 33 degrees, 23.1 degrees and 34 degrees respectively.
It won’t just be SUVs that will be offered by GWM at PACE 2025 – the brand’s line-up in Malaysia will soon be joined by an MPV entrant with the Wey 80! As such, GWM boasts of a powertrain line-up that is comprised of internal combustion engines, PHEVs and hybrids, along with fully electric vehicles from the Ora brand – all under one umbrella.
There’s certainly variety to be had at PACE 2025 – in addition to GWM, participating brands include BMW and MINI (both represented by Auto Bavaria), Mercedes-Benz (represented by Hap Seng Star), Audi, BYD, Denza, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Xpeng, GAC and Zeekr. Meanwhile, premium motorcycles will be represented at PACE 2025 by BMW Motorrad, and joining the host of automotive brands at PACE 2025 are Kineta and Trapo.
In addition to the wide-ranging, attractive deals that will be offered by the individual brands, buying your new car at PACE 2025 brings yet more perks. The first 200 vehicle bookings will come with RM3,000 worth of vouchers from our supporting partners, which include Solar Gard, Dodomat, The Carage, Kuzig Glanz, Gintell and DK Schweizer.
Similarly, the first 40 new bike bookings will also receive RM3,000 worth of vouchers from the above-mentioned supporting partners. Of course, there’s more.
